This is proof...
that capitalism is responsive to what the consumer demands. It’s not often that you can definitely say exactly where you’ll be six years in the future. Awesome.
September 10, 2016. Nobody better get married or die that day.

Northwestern’s a big OOC matchup?

Well, if you want to get nitpicky Colorado is pretty far from a big OOC matchup as well.

They probably were a much better team when we originally scheduled this several years back.

Surprisingly not. They haven’t had a 9 win season since 2002.

The Buckeyes home-and-home has been scheduled for quite some time.

Indeed
Playing in Texas is going to turn our recruiting pipeline in Texas into an interstate. This will help a lot.
I am surprised at how many Big 10 teams we’re taking on when most of our out-of-state recruiting is coming in Big 12 and ACC country. Still, this is fantastic news. I guess I know where I’ll be on Sept 12, 2015.
More SEC schools please!
I think this scheduling is great. I’d love to see some more SEC and ACC schools on the list. Here would be my top-5 who aren’t on the schedule:
-Alabama
-Virginia Tech
-Florida State
-Boston College
-LSU
(in no particular order) I also wouldn’t mind Penn St., Notre Dame, Auburn, and a rematch versus Texas Tech.)
Kinda want Florida, although that’ll probably only be happening when we’re both in retirement homes.

Why does it seem that only the Pac 10 teams schedule very difficult OOC games?
Who does Florida play OOC? The whole SEC argument is smoke and mirrors if you ask me since they rarely play top team OOC.
Florida is guilty of this (depending on your opinions of FSU and Miami) but Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU have all been playing games against big name and/or Pac-10 teams, even on the road sometimes.
Having said that, they play way too many games against FCS teams and the dregs of the Sun Belt. In a weird way the Pac-10 is lucky that the Mountain West is so highly respected or we’d have way more games against crappy teams.
