I'm shaping up to be quite a geek.
Remember all those cool tech-type things I told you about last week? No? Go back and read this.
Now that you've justified my existence on this blog by boosting my post's pageviews, here's one more fun little webthing...since I know you CGB Readers are of a competitive nature...
Google tracks how many people subscribe to each team's calendar, and displays them in a lovely little graph.
Cal is currently at #17 (last updated on September 10, 2009). Nope, I didn't include a picture because it was too big, and I am too lazy busy.
Not super-thrilling piece of game-related-techstuff, but I thought I'd pass it along.
Best Fanpost Ever? YEAH!
The opinions expressed in a FanPost are, in every way, reflective of the opinions of every California Golden Blogs Marshawnthusiast. Moreover, they are reflective of every employee of SBNation, including Tyler "Blez" Bleszinski.

Justin.tv was blocked in China when I tried it.

You must not know enough people in the godless, Commie government. I use prison labor to help me log in.
Actually, as long as justin.tv has been around, it’s worked for me – somewhat. On big events (say Argentina vs. Brazil soccer or NBA Playoffs) – it’ll give me one of those “Too many people from your country are logged on right now. Please upgrade to premium” messages. But at 4am for Cal games, it tends to fly.
I use a combination of Slingbox, justin.tv, channelsurfing.net and Big Bamboo Sports bar (which slingboxs canadian ESPN and has South African satellite which carries NCAA games) to catch Cal games. When I’ve had a stable internet connection, I’ve been able to catch most. Otherwise it’s kgo810am.com and listening to Starkey.

President Obama must open a dialogue with the Premiere of China to discuss these clear human rights abuses. THIS CANNOT STAND!

There’s a running dog of capitalism / imperialist paper tiger joke in here somewhere.

I would subscribe to the Google version of the sports calendar, but unlike another RSS feed I use it doesn’t include the TV info and it doesn’t use a very good format for naming the games. “Golden Bears, Minnesota Golden Gophers” is pretty useless when it gets truncated to “Golden Bea” every time.
It's seriously too bad that there's no building or complex around that might have a large supply of sports drinks.

Anyone else remember Chancellor Chang-Lin Tien?
He would come out every game and yell Go Bears. He happened to have a bit of an accent.
His “bears” came out “Bea’s”. Which is what I though of when you wrote “Golden Bea”.
I liked him a lot. Lots of enthusiasm at the football games.
Stand the whole game, stay to the end, and start yelling while they're still in the huddle. GO BEARS
