I respect Tweedledamn for saying that he liked the Stanford Band over the Cal Band. But you gotta ask yourself, when the Stanford Band gets crushed and the Cal Band is doing the crushing, which one REALLY is the better band??

Also this weekend, the Ohio State sousaphone that dots the “i” in the script Ohio totally took out an ESPN cameraman.

There is some great symmetry in these two events, considering how much the Cal Band took from OSU in the 1950’s. (Non-banders, look in particular at the uniforms and marching styles of the two bands.)
I’m really looking forward to the games in 2012 and 2013!

A marching pregnant alumna does earn a band a whole lot of points. And since Saturday I have become terrified of vengeful bass drummers.
