CGB Meme Invitational - Tagline (7) v. A-11 Offense (10)

Heres the 7 v. 10 Matchup.  CGB:  That should be a tagline v. How does that relate to the A-11 Offense?  Read the info behind the fold and then vote in the poll.

This is an interesting matchup.  It is interesting because these two memes have been, at one or another time, some of the least creative and least evolved memes here.  There was a month or so when The Maharg's sole output on this site was just to post the tagline bit over and over and over and over and over. 

And don't get me start on the A-11 offense one. 

So, basically, this is a battle between two memes who, while perhaps having creativity at one time, had said creativity Bataan Death Marched out of them.  Let's get to the fight.

Two days after this site launched on Blogsome in 2006, the first hippies climbed the trees outside Memorial Stadium.  Our original tagline, "Climbing Trees and Punching Hippies since 2006", reflected this.  However, with the hippies finally removed from their arboreal abode, the time had come for a new, more up-to-date tagline.  Being myself incredibly uncreative, I commissioned a new tagline from our readers, calling it a caption contest writ large.  I expected some good entries, and that we might have to have a vote to decide the winner, but the sheer extent of tagline awesomeness you guys laid on us was astounding.

With so many good taglines (so many we needed an overflow thread!) it would have been a shame to pick just one; thus, we began our tagline rotation, and every time someone accidentally said something that could make a good tagline, someone would respond with 'That should be a tagline!', or simply respond in a manner such as 'CGB : More taglines than you shake a stick at'.  This happens so often that the meta-humor is inevitable:

How does this relate to the A-11 offense?  (10)

In retrospect, this was seeded too high (or too low, not sure how that works, really).  It all started when some football coaches in the Bay Area invented a new type of offense called the A-11.  It's sort of the football equivalent of a scatter band.  HydroTech wrote up a post on it. It is unclear to me how or why that got turned into the A-11 meme, but there's nobody with the stones to find out.

All I know is that this is another concept that, for some unexplained reason (please don't explain), caught Rishi's eye.  And so as he is wont to do, he repeated it over and over and over and over with the thought that that is how a meme is born.

Don't believe me?  Do a search for A-11 offense.  Look at comments.  The vast majority are Rishi doing that line (and JUST that line) with a few thrown in from The Maharg and then one or two from Berklium and RollOnUBears.  This is another "Rishi" meme.  Vote for it if you dare.
