12-7 CAL at half

Tie game at 22
Should be fairly late in the game by now.

I was tying the same thing. Momentum clearly with the Cougars. Go Bears!!

Does this thing only update with scores?
"Stanford has no fear of losing versus Cal, as they have done so every year but one for the last 20 years. They are, however, very afraid to get injured and indeed fear for their safety." - Furd Rugby Coach on forfeiting 2001 Rugby game vs. Cal

25-22 BYU. Gotta be late in regulation.
Is this the first time we’ve trailed all season against a team from the United States?

Why so many PK's?
is that normal in rugby?
I know nothing about the game.

Yes, normal. Rugby PKs are sort of the equivalent to a field goal, and not just because their placekicks worth 3 points.

WOW!
That link says the game was much closer than the score. Huh?
It seems like Cal choked. Nothing going late in the game.

Crap.
But how, exactly, can a tight 3-point game be “much closer than the score indicates”. That’s like saying Manute Bol is much taller than his nearly 8-foot height suggests.

I knew that Cal was doomed as soon as Damon Bruce brought them up on Thursday night.

If Wikipedia is correct, this is the first time, ever, Cal has lost in the championship game. Previous years’ stumbles always came in earlier rounds.
Major bummer, but huge kudos to BYU; they’ve been working on this for a long, long time. Too bad the Bears can’t soothe their wounded pride tonight by drinking beers with their opponents. Which begs the question: how can an alcohol-free institution be allowed to play rugby. That’s just wrong.
Go Bears!
Yup. Looks like I’m in the CGB Hall of Shame for calling our attention to this one. I got cocky and figured my curse had been lifted after watching, in recent years, both water polo and softball win national championships live.

Fucking mormons.
Even though they had four or so yellow cards, they still manage to win.
I guess cheaters do prosper sometimes.

we... lost?
…i’m confused. How could we… have lost?
I think I’m in shock.
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
