| 13. | BakBakWinsCyYoung'10 | 7-20-1 | .268 | 13.5 | 4-9-1 | 5 | 6 | |
| 14. | The Hydro Jr's | 2-24-2 | .107 | 18 | 0-13-1 | 14 | 1 |
This was a prime week for blowout wins, as NorcalNick put a hurt on the Hydro Jr's 13-0-1, and Bye Week shut down FAH Q 13-1. The Hydro Jr's had a good pitching week, but were DQ'd for not meeting the 35 inning minimum (which is totes too high BTW, are we changing that?).
BakBakWinsCyYoung'10 bravely holds on to fantasy cancer Chien-Ming Wang and his 34.50 ERA. Starting a pitcher at Yankee Stadium is fast becoming a dicey scenario.
Fantasy MVPs last week range from names like Pujols and Beltran to Rockies rookie OF Dexter Fowler, who hit .368 with 6 steals last week.
The most coveted player in the CGB league is still Barry Zito, who took a shutout into the seventh inning last night in the Giants' 5-4 win over the team of players whose parents don't love them.
Statistically, The Fighting Mahargs, Fire The Starkey, and Balk This Way are off to hot starts offensively, while Chevy Movie Theater and Dating Ur Dance Team have the hot pitching staffs. NorcalNick is just flat-out slaying everybody at everything.
As per usual, rec this bad boy and de-rec last week's episode.

Srsly
I feel like Maharg is going to hold a grudge against me for years.
Alright, fine, I admit it! "Hydration Technician" really DOES just mean "water boy!"

Maybe you should have thought about that before you dumped all that gatorade and didn’t even offer me the cup you promised!!!

Why is my team so crappy?
Is it because, until a few days ago, I had 2-3 fewer pitchers than everyone else? It can’t all be Wang and his 34.50 ERA’s fault.

It’s because you never paid attention in Fantasy Baseball class at The Maharg School.

There should perhaps be an astericks next to my record
Both weeks, my opponent failed to reach 35 innings. I also failed to get to 35 the first week (hence 7 ties) and then picked up 3 or 4 wins the week after by default. DE FAULT! The two sweetest words in the English language!
As for my hitting, Kevin Youkilis is a destroyer of worlds. Jay Bruce isn’t half bad either.

Re: 35 innings
Basically, you have to have your 3 generic pitching slots filled with starters if you can’t update your lineup every day, and it can still be dicey. I think 30 would be fair but it’s not a huge deal for me now that I’ve fixed my lineup and figured out how to navigate the yahoo page.

I still need
A first baseman who won’t break himself every three weeks (Nick Johnson) and an outfielder not named Luke Scott (Luke Scott). HALP!
Still happy over the fact that the Nets signed Ryan Anderson. Now if only they can sign Leon Powe after this year...

I have spare 1b’s, make me an offer I can’t refuse. Pujols is obviously not available but I have Pena, LaRoche and Guillen (who is inexplicably listed as a 1b).
Joe Starkey...Scholar, Humanitarian, Cal legend, worst radio play by play man of all time.

I believe that if they play 5 games at a position in eihter the current or previous calendar year, then they get listed at that position for the current yera.

I’ve got an extra James Loney that I might be willing to deal for the right starting pitching

I’ve got 10 starters that I like, and an offense crippled by injuries. Make me an offer.
So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!

I sent you two options via the Yahoo Fantasy Home. No pressure on actually making a deal, I’m OK either way

The the Maharg and I are involved in the most epic save-off in fantasy baseball history!
After 5 days we both have 6 saves. 6! Bobby Jenks and Brian Wilson have each gotten my team 3 saves in 5 games. The Maharg, the master of the unknown closer, has shuttled 4 different relievers, each with at least one save in a desperate attempt to win the category. With two days left, how will it end?!? Can I continue to get BS saves from Brian Wilson? Can I stop the Maharg’s depth? Only time will tell!

Maharg beat me 7-6 in saves last week. He and Yellow Fever have really hoarded relievers so far.
