I just wish we could all get along.

Tipoff at noon EST, 9 AM PST, stream links (if available) will be posted in the comments. This will either be Walker's and Hampton's (as well as Shantrell Sneed's) last game as Golden Bears, or one of the greatest upsets in sports history, so you should feel free to join in, regular commenters and lurkers alike!

Yes. First Sweet Sixteen ever!

Kinda, but we stumbled too much and should've gone even deeper.

No, this was a Final Four team and we came up short.

We only need four more wins!

Solid start for the bears. Crisp passing and high percentage shots give cal an early lead. Emphasis on early. 7-5. But they certainly arent intimidated.

I must say, basketball in HD is quite amazing.

Two fouls on Charles could be big.

man, our women's basketball is actually pretty good..

might even give our men’s team a run for the money

I hoped we could play like this, but never dreamed it would actually happen!

HOLY SHIT!

BIGGEST DEFICIT UCONN HAS FACED ALL SEASON!!!

Did they give you grief about this game?

by CalBear81 on Mar 29, 2009 9:31 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Let’s hope you can!

by CalBear81 on Mar 29, 2009 9:32 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

did their coach just complain that we were getting all the calls from the refs?

that was his explanation of why we’re in the game?

by nickle on Mar 29, 2009 9:48 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, that’s what he said. Poor UConn, they’re so mistreated!

Refs Suck

Totally favoring UConn down the stretch. This is Gino’s game. Intimidation.

The rout is on.

UConn’s average margin of victory against ranked opponents this year is 31 points. I’m proud of the way Cal has played against them. But yeah, sigh . . .

This is like the fastest womens team I’ve ever seen.

Well, lots of people are saying they are the best team in the history of women’s basketball.

I seriously cannot see any weaknesses in this Uconn team…. seriously… I wonder if they shoot this well from beyond the arc during the regular season.

If only there was a post that did an analysis of UConn’s numbers. IF ONLY!

Do they really have betting on womens games? If so, I’d like to know what the spread was as well.. but I doubt we beat it.

Well, right now, I’m just going with the 30 point average win margin against ranked teams. If that’s the case, way to go Bears lol. But I’d like confirmation.

Either way, I’m amazed with UConn’s team. Stanfurd is good, but UConn is at a whole other level down the stretch.

A step in the right direction

It would have been nicer if this game was at a more west coast friendly time but it’s not like we really have any problem with recruiting at this point. A good showing against a tough, tough team. Can’t really ask for anything more.
