PrintI've been asked to put up tonight's open thread. I don't usually do this since I don't really follow basketball so forgive me if I mess things up. Furthermore, my confidence in my abilities is quite shaken up after NorCalNick BOOMED/ROASTED me in his WBD.
Washington State Cougars (12-10, 4-6) at California Golden Bears (17-6, 6-4)
Saturday, Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m., Haas Pavlion, Berkeley, Calif.
Radio: KYOU (1550 AM) TV: Fox Sports Net
UPDATE:
Rated-R Superstar says that the game will be on Comcast SportsNet BAy Area. Whether that means it'll be on that and both Fox Sports Net, I don't know. Check your local listings.
JustinTV streams the game. As does ChannelSurfing.
Let's get the weekend sweep?
Oh, and it is unknown if any of the Marshawnthusiasts will be in tonight's open thread. I think Rags and CBKWit might be at the game. Fever is working like 100 hour work weeks now. Twist is still trying to defend a demurrer. And I'm not going to be around tonight. So... please, play nice with each other.

I’m looking at my DirecTV sports channels and the game will also be on Comcast SportsNet MidAtlantic, MSG Plus, Comcast SportsNet New England, and some other channels.
You should be able to find the game no matter where you live.

It looks like some good old fashioned uglyball is being played in Corvallis tonight. ASU leads a whopping 19-13 at halftime. The two teams are a combined 12-38 in shooting.

Fuck, Im getting ready to go out for hte night and I dont know what to wear. Im leaning towards double breasted suit coat. Thats obvs. But should I go with a relaxed t-shirt or so underneath or should I dress it up a bit more? I could rock a scoop neck-t. I could rock a collared shirt with either a skinny tie or knit tie. Tell me your thoughts?

It really just felt like a blow out. It didn’t feel like we were missing much, and I was totally confident in the 2nd half. I really couldn’t picture us losing at all.

I’ve noticed a lot of basketball players are freshman but a lot older then the average 18. I think Mayo was 21. There were a whole bunch of one and done players last year, but only one was a teenager (Anthony Randolph). Anyone know why that happens?

After high school, Jorge had to spend a year in prep school because of grades. Not necessarily bad grades, but because he moved to Colorado from Mexico as HS junior, and there was difficulty getting many of his classes to transfer properly. So, he’s basically a year behind, and if he started school a little late, that would explain why he’s already 21.
So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!

I couldn’t say. A number of kids do end up in prep school for a year because of poor grades. Former Cal recruit Julian Sensley never made it on campus because of them (after a couple years at two different prep schools, I think he eventually found his way to Hawai’i).

Mayo was 21? That is odd. He must’ve been held back in school or something, because it seemed like he was just biding his time until the NBA came calling, and if he was over 19, the decision to play a season in college seems a strange one.
Oh, and Greg Oden only looks like he’s 40.

Oh and Mayo was born November 5, 1987. So he turned 21 last year. But still. He was 20 as a freshman. He was 18 as a junior in high school.

It was as I described. White polo with yellow knit tie, blue double breasted suit with white pocket square and blue purposely faded jeans. And my Topcoat for the walk over to the bar/restaurant. Fun times, fun times.
