I've pulled all the things that I saw getting multiple recs or that had a consensus to be included as comments here. If I missed anything, feel free to add it.

I don’t mean to naysay (also since it was my idea), but it is going to be nigh impossible to see Neu, and DEFINITELY impossible to see the cutout of the Monopoly board. I would just stick with giant text…

Because you can use the posterboard space you would have wasted on pictures/graphics on making the letters big enough to read. Look at MOST of the good example signs from the gameday broadcasts. Do any of them have weirdo graphics and pictures?

Question
How big do you guys think this needs to be? At the moment I did 4 11×17’s so 22 × 34, but if you guys have so much hope for this one do you think I need to go with a bigger poster?

I’m pretty sure photobucket has a limit. I just tested it. :-)
I’ll have to email the larger version, or find some easy file sharing site. (Any one know if a good free one?)
I had a hard time finding a good quality picture of Baltic and Mediterranean, so those are going to look poopy regardless.

http://picasa.google.com/View the picture then go to the menu… CREATE>>MAKE POSTER… then use these settings:
Picassa will break the enlarged picture up into sections that you can then print individually (select them all then choose print to print all at once).
Play around with the scale (since I don’t know how big the original is)… 800% should get you a HUGE poster… since it will cost you pennies to print it out… test out a few sizes…. or if you’re smart, measure the dimensions then use proportion math (you’re all a bunch of retards).

Agreed. The one problem, at least with the posters I have, is that it doesn’t translate smaller fonts very well.
I was going to do this, but even with 1 mm dots (downloaded version), it wasn’t very clear unless it was going to get printed out to be 8’ tall.

This tool is optimized for larger blowups. I would imagine for our purposes we wouldn’t exceed 4 sheets across… in that case Picassa is best since it doesn’t use pointillism.
