We ran on 1st and 2nd down on our last drive for 2 or 3 total yards. It doesn’t matter what we do – it just needs to be successful.

I’m not philosophically opposed to throwing on first down, as long as it leads to completions. Running on first down just for the sake of running isn’t going to work either.
