Fans are booing guys in this relay race on field because they’re going to slowly through the obstacles.
Whose domicile? OUR DOMICILE!
We West Coasters are a little prone to hitting the panic button prematurely.
Yes, we blew a considerable lead, but it’s only a 1-possession game. Let’s see this thing through to the end.
WEEEERRRRRREEEEEE DDDDOOOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEEDDDDDD
us old blues have a hard time giving up the past.

Look
It’s a two score game, yes. But the D has been looking better this quarter. Their two scores were set up by a TO and a 40 yard pass. Let’s not give up here.

I feel a bit bad. When Longshore was sucking, no one called for Riley more than me. But now that Riley is sucking, I want anyone else.
by BlackandOldGold on Dec 23, 2009 7:43 PM PST reply actions
here's a question
Would you rather have Bad Riley or Bad Nate?
by atomsareenough on Dec 23, 2009 7:45 PM PST up reply actions
probably bad riley, since he throws less soul crushing interceptions

Alamar is going down with a whimper, as to be expected.

If Alamar was a fantastic TE coach, I’d give him a pass. But he isn’t so he must go.

holy crap these officials
Oh no he tickled him! Interference!
by trisweb on Dec 23, 2009 7:47 PM PST via mobile reply actions
It’s obviously interference, because the guy couldn’t even make the catch… Oh wait, never mind, he caught it no problem.
by atomsareenough on Dec 23, 2009 7:49 PM PST up reply actions
Well, you can't come within 5 yards of a returner when he calls fair catch.
Guy jumped right into the returner’s face.
The rule is....
You have to give the punt returner room to make the catch which was exactly what happened. There is no halo rule. The call was wrong.
WHY THE HELL DO THEY WHISTLE IT DEAD SO EARLY??

Seriously.
I don’t know why we never got something better than Riley. Disappointing, period.
More than just ANtics: http://www.louisgray.com/live/
Nah.
Forget about that. We stink. Riley stinks. We got lit up by Washington and Oregon State and USC and Oregon. This is not a top 25 team without Jahvid.

If an ass whooping at the hands of a sub .500 team in UDub doesn’t motivate our guys, I don’t know what will. What a disappointing season, from the coaching to the talent on the field.

Hopefully these performances light a fire under the players’ asses for next season.
Why oh why couldn’t the season have just ended with the Big Game?

by bluehenbear on Dec 23, 2009 8:00 PM PST via mobile reply actions
Areas of the team that need to be evaluated during the offseason:
- O-Line
- QB play
- Defense (all of it)
- ST
- Coaching (?)

i’m ok with our waterboys. our players seem to be well hydrated this season.

Good point.
What about the Mic Men and cheerleaders?
More than just ANtics: http://www.louisgray.com/live/
It's hard not having season tickets.
Had them 5 straight seasons. Then had twins in 2008. Um. So… yeah.
More than just ANtics: http://www.louisgray.com/live/
I wouldn't say all of the defense
Pass rush and defensive back play. Against the run Cal was ranked number 27 in the country so they did a good job of that, but teams knew to throw against them.
Letting go...
Not exactly icing on the season’s cake but so long 2009 Bears. Hope Nnabufe’s healthy next year. Happy holidays all.
whoops

This is my problem with Tedford
Riley has shown no leadership abilities this year whatsoever. Last year when it was a competition between Riley and Longshore he made both quarterbacks at least work for the start.
This year Riley was given the key and he failed miserably against some good teams. I get it if Riley was being developed as a freshman to take over as starter, but he wasn’t. He has experience as a starter and he never ever looked comfortable.
If it wasn’t for Jahvid Best or Shane Vereen in the backfield with their big play ability this would have even better a longer season.
With Riley struggling in the first half of the game why not go to Beau Sweeney? Isn’t that the reason why Riley saw action his freshman year against Air Force? Longshore wOras struggling so he brought in Riley?
I’m just curious to why Sweeney wasn’t ever put into games at half time? Or maybe this was the year that Riley was supposed to gain that experience and take the lumps! I don’t know, but I’ve been pretty disappointed in the overall play of Riley.

Which is why the team members named him offensive captain. Get the fuck out you twit.

I don't really need to respond
Stephen Jackson was a captain for the Golden State Warriors does that mean he was really known for being a great leader?
Well that maybe the case
He still was captain though. I’m not saying that Riley is Jackson. But, aren’t most quarterbacks named captain anyways?
Riley I think has the ability to be a solid leader and make plays. He just hasn’t been as consistent as I thought he’d be or show the leadership abilities when Cal struggles offensively.
Again, the tacit explanation you’re advancing for Riley being offensive captain is that the players are jackoffs.

Right, the Cal offensive players just made Riley captain because they’re a bunch of jack-offs.

Riley is a fucking headcase. Yes, the swiss cheese O-Line doesn’t help, but he really just does not have the mental part of the game down.

dam, here's for hoping some of our new recruits and a different quarterback will
result in a higher win total.
What did i tell you...didn't I say they would win? Yeah that's right I did didn't ? Wait.. what? They LOST?!?!?
Eh.
Are we actually going to get a new qb? Isn’t Riley a junior? He’ll be back next year, no?
just hoping that the qb position is open for competition this spring
What did i tell you...didn't I say they would win? Yeah that's right I did didn't ? Wait.. what? They LOST?!?!?
Riley is definitely back next year
It’s not to say that Tedford won’t make him earn the spot, but I see him as starter.
if somebody, like sweeney or bridgeford clearly outplays him, they
have to seriously consider a switch
What did i tell you...didn't I say they would win? Yeah that's right I did didn't ? Wait.. what? They LOST?!?!?
