Like most games, we are defending the run but the pass is killing us!

The quick snaps and hurry up offense is also hurting us a bit

Gotta think that pick six. Been all downhill from there.

What on earth was Bishop doing on that play?
He can’t just sit there and watch the Utah receiver get open.

Ok but for a good reason this time. If we keep getting ST coverage like that we might get back to wining the field position battle and scoring.

The only success they’ve had running has been on option plays and shovel passes. Not too worried as long as they don’t keep doing it.

Well I guess some people like going to the no name bowl. Also letting the mountain west dominate our beloved bears. I wanna maybe get to the Rose Bowl before I’m dead but I only have about 70 years. I guess that’s not enough time. Let’s just get no respect and watch our players act like they don’t care. Ya that’s a good idea.
by bear in the bluff on Dec 23, 2009 6:31 PM PST via mobile up reply actions
Because clearly Tedford, the second most successful coach in Cal history, who has gotten us to 8 bowl games in a row, is the reason we aren’t going to the Rose Bowl.
Ya we are in the 2nd to worst Pac 10 bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Success! We were only ranked 6 in the nation before the great performance against Oregon. BUT we got a Bowl game!!! This year has been a success cause we are in a crappy bowl!
by bear in the bluff on Dec 23, 2009 6:48 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

Rushing 3

by atomsareenough on Dec 23, 2009 6:28 PM PST up reply actions
Nope
My comments are out of disappointment. The Bears are much better than what they’ve played like this year. Yet, everyone on this board is ok with mediocre play and Cal not showing up for games that actually mean something.
What do you call the games against Oregon, USC, and Washington?
I call it Tedford needs to be fired! BAM! I got ya Rocky finally someone who wants to win.
by bear in the bluff on Dec 23, 2009 6:34 PM PST via mobile up reply actions
Yeah these college kids need to win for my entertainment. If they don’t I demand that people get fired.

Oh your one of those guys that go to the game and watch it. Win or lose, even if its by 42, you don’t care. You stand around and say how delightful the new uniforms look. See that’s why most people don’t like cal because of fans like you. You have no pride! Your happy if the band comes!
by bear in the bluff on Dec 23, 2009 6:42 PM PST via mobile up reply actions
Look, you’re not the only one who’s disappointed with how this (and other seasons) have played out… Lots of us have gotten our hopes up, only to be let down at some point. But guess what, it happens to EVERY team. I’m not satisfied with laying an egg in the Poinsettia Bowl any more than you are, and it’s definitely discouraging to see the team completely outplayed like we have been in our losses this year, but as maddening as it is in the moment, you have to take a bit of a long view. Sure, there are specific changes we might want to make, like getting a new Special Teams coach (or Defensive Coordinator in your opinion), but just because there have been some bumps in the road, it doesn’t mean that our program’s overall trajectory isn’t still trending steadily upward. Even when you buy a hot stock, you can’t expect the price to go up every single day; going to have down days. We’ve come a LONG way from where we were, pre-Tedford, and he’s deserved a bit of patience. I fully expect that we’ll get to the Rose Bowl within the 2010s. Probably more than once.
