Wow
My poll is very similar to the real poll. I’ll definitely win that divergent award.

Texas
You’re right. They’re not very good.

How can you possibly know that? I think the only legitimate argument against Texas is the well known douchey-coach factor. Mack barely edges Saban…

Houston
Why are they not ranked?

For the second week in a row they barely escaped against a sub-.500 team. They continue to give up 500+ yards per game on defense. They’ve got a great offense, but I don’t think they deserve to be ranked as high as they are. I have had a tough time taking them seriously after they got blown out by UT-El Paso.
Whose domicile? OUR DOMICILE!
Houston is Iowa with a better offense, no defense and in a worse conference. They win by the grace of God, but they do win.

Used a new methodology this week…produced some interesting results to say the least. Margin of victory/defeat is pretty important to this methodology – completely resume based, with the intention of predicting who’s most likely to win future games. Your California Golden Bears would be ranked #32 in this poll.
Not so much as a single response/comment. Disappointing….

You know, considering how Boston College was repeatedly kicked in the dick over the offseason by fate, they deserve a little respect for managing to cobble together a decent season. That said, if they hadn’t beaten Central Michigan I don’t think they’d have any wins over teams with winning records, so yeah.

I have no idea why, but the formula seems to like BC. Looking at their resume myself I don’t see it, either.

There’s some weird stuff going on with the poll. I’m at #25 and I want to put BYU in (every other team has worked fine) and they aren’t showing up as an option. So I decided screw it, I’ll vote for Cal instead. They aren’t showing up as an option, either. I think if a team starts in the Top 25 then I delete them, but then later want to put them back, maybe they aren’t an option since they weren’t one originally (because they were already in the Top 25)?
I had to end up voting Ole Miss #25, because my next team after BYU was Cal for the hell of it – they weren’t an option, then Oregon State, also not an option, then Notre Dame, also not an option….so finally, Ole Miss it is. (BYU, Cal, OSU and ND all started in the Top 25 by default but I removed them, so I think it was the same problem in each case)

Alabama gets my #1 this week because the top 3 are interchangeable and the Tide beat a top 10 team. Oh, and fuck Iowa and the horse it rode in on.
It's spelled "T-A-K-O-T-U-E-S-D-A-Y-S-!-!-!."

Man no way is Utah the best one-loss team. They’ve only even played two teams with winning records, and only beaten one. I’d rate quite a few of the two loss teams ahead of them, including Oregon.
