Also check out Marv’s page. He’s actually really good. His originals are good but when he sings covers… he sounds like a pro.
Great vid!
Downloaded both of the CAL songs, very nice and Marv goes in on it. Impressed.

Pause the video during a scene with a lot of motion. You’ll see a lot of jagged edges (interlacing artifacts) around the source of motion. The video is being encoded as progressive, not interlaced, and all of those high-frequency jagged edges are very incompressible for the video codec (and actually they turn out more like a streaky smear instead of jagged edges due to their incompressibility).
If the video was deinterlaced properly first, the video would be as clear and sharp as the TV broadcast (since Vimeo has fairly high bitrate videos).

Why would I pause a video just to look at it? That doesn’t seem like a natural video-watching situation.

1: He. Knows.
2: If you want to just show off, then fine. If you really want to help, you can PM people through Twist, Youtube, whatever.
3: If you have some constructive advice, make sure it’s more than just pointing out the obvious.
I keep harping on this because it irks me every time I watch a video like this (and I’m not blaming anybody in particular, it seems far too often I see people mess this up, even the big guys like ESPN.com and NFL.com). I’m not trying to show off, that would be inane. It’s a genuine desire to help, but I don’t know who in particular to contact about it. I’ll send a PM, I guess

apparently you have to be a pro user
which means you have to pay to be able to dl…ahhh oh well worth a shot
There’s got to be a way. If you’re on Firefox, you can download add ones like “DownloadHelper” and other plug in’s that let you download whatever video is on screen. I just tried it, downloading as an MP4. I am sure there are other ways.

Just a thought on WR blocking...
…now that i’ve watched that FIRST play of the highlight of the video a few times.
I love the solid/hard block that Marvin throws as Best is running out of bounds. I realize it may be slightly unnecessary, but it’s just that kind of aggression and hard-nosed blocking that was slightly absent 2 or 3 years ago. I always find myself shouting at the TV-set “hold your block!” or “BLOCK!” so something like that is nice to see.
Nyan is a part of this as well, he’s another big physical WR and we probably missed that during those games he was out.
