Tiger's car crash came after domestic dispute
Multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ Tiger Woods’ early morning accident came right after an argument with his wife, Elin Nordegren.
We’re told Elin told cops about the argument at the scene of the accident and Tiger gave the same story to authorities at the hospital where he was treated.
One Florida law enforcement official called it “a domestic issue.”
Elin apparently was able to forgive and forget — according to Windermere Police Chief Daniel Saylor, Nordegren smashed out the back window of Tiger’s car to help get him out.

You were right???
Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren — according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident. Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant. We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club. We’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree. We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.
Somehow I think this all comes back to being booed by Cal fans

“Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling lives by his own rules. And the only one that matters, apparently, is this: all bad deeds go unpunished. Over the last six years, nearly two dozen L.A. residents have sued Sterling for engaging in racist housing practices and Jim Crow-style bigotry. In a 2003 deposition, the 76-year-old real estate mogul admitted to paying a former employee to have sex with him in an elevator. Three years ago, the U.S. government charged him with “willful” mistreatment of African-American and Latino tenants, and earlier this month, he agreed to pay the Dept. of Justice nearly $3 million to settle a federal racial-discrimination housing lawsuit, the largest award ever for a case of its kind."

Lawyers, is this the best time for Michigan to fire Rich Rod?
Please help sort out this legalese.
Now as Michigan enters the long, difficult winter of Wolverine discontent, there’s a real issue that has to be decided. If you don’t think Rich Rod is going to get it done at the school, you need to fire him now, before the next season commences.
Why?
Because you have a legal hook that can significantly lessen the blow of the firing — you can argue that Rich Rodriguez breached the terms of his contract by violating NCAA rules. Bang. Meet Michigan’s own stimulus plan for the athletic department, firing Rich Rod for cause.
A bit of a legal primer: All NCAA contracts contain a contractual provision allowing a school to end their relationship with a coach “for cause.” Think of it is as the school’s parachute in the event the plane is going down. Unlike a golden parachute where a coach is fired but receives millions to end the contract, firing someone “for cause” effectively wipes away the buyout provisions in a contract.
Rather than face a multi-million dollar obligation for a buyout, something Michigan fans are all too familiar with after the negotiations between Rich Rod and West Virginia, the school can allege a major violation of NCAA rules or intentional misconduct and show him to the door. Given that the NCAA and Michigan are already investigating Rodriguez and the football program over the amount of hours that players have spent playing or practicing football each week, the door would appear to be open to push Rich Rod out.
Some Michigan fans might be thinking, why can’t we give Rich Rod one more season to see if he can win and then fire him for cause if he fails again? Here’s the reason: If you uncover a breach of your contract and don’t act upon it within a reasonable time, then you can’t later scream breach at your convenience in order to invalidate a contract. According to the law you have to act within a reasonable time upon learning of the breach.

This is correct if they can prove “for cause”.
I still don’t think they would or should fire him. If they were dissatisfied with the results the last couple years, see what happens when they bring in a Les Miles that doesn’t run a pure spread system that Rich Rod has recruited for the past two years.
It'll be just you, me, and Peter Nincompoop.
Not necessarily correct
In many contracts, there is a standard “non-waiver” clause stating, basically, that a failure to invoke the protections of a given section of the contract does not bar a party from later invoking the protection. So in other words, if there is such a clause here, Michigan’s failure to pull the trigger on Rich Rod “for cause” now wouldn’t necessarily foreclose them from doing it later.
I haven’t read Rich Rod’s contract, but the wording of the “for cause” provision is important. Several years ago, Ohio State acted swiftly to fire basketball coach Jim O’Brien “for cause” after Coach O’Brien’s admission that he give money to a former recruit. (To be fair, O’Brien’s story was tha the gave the money out of generosity to help the recruit’s family in Serbia, and only after the recruitment had stopped due to the discovery that the recruit was not eligible to play college basketball because he’s played semi pro ball in Europe.) The “for cause” provision in O’Brien’s contract, however, required a formal finding by either the Big1T1en or the NCAA that there had been a violation of NCAA rules. Essentially, because there was not a formal finding by the conference or the NCAA at the time Ohio State fired O’Brien, Ohio State could not establish that the firing was “for cause.” It was a big deal because O’Brien forfeited his buyout clause of his firing was deemed “for cause.” O’Brien later won his lawsuit against the university and won his buyout.
Praise be to Tedford!
The standard of proof to show “for cause” is key without nothing proven yet.
As for whether it is more advantageous now, I suppose that depends upon the burden. If they don’t need an NCAA finding, they might want to try now before the NCAA rules there was no impropriety. That said, by the time the case would get litigated the NCAA would rule one way or another.
It'll be just you, me, and Peter Nincompoop.

You mean the continual running? The going for it on 4th down on the opponent’s 2 yard line was UNIMAGINABLY not conservative and could have cost WVu this game.

Bucks-Thunder update
Jennings hasn’t done much, but the game is 48-46 Bucks due to some good outside shooting.
The Thunder really do have a great young supporting cast for Durant with Westbrook, Green and Harden. Terrible pick taking B.J. Mullens this year though.
Hopefully they can get to the playoffs. This team would be fun giving Denver and LA a charge before the other side started playing defense.

Yeah, my hope is that Young Durant has a chance to get playoff experience. Eventually, I think he will be good enough to lead a team deep in the playoffs, but I get the feeling that is 2 or 3 years away because not only does he have to mature, but everyone else on the team has to also.
