class of 87 finally vaults back to the top spot that he would have held earlier had he realized that we were picking against the spread in Week 1. Will his lead hold up?
Fun facts for the week:
- The best picker for this week, by far, was One if by Land Two if by C - going 16/22. The only misses were Boise State - 21 against Louisiana Tech, Texas -36 against UCF, PSU - 3.5 to Ohio State, New Mexico + 27.5 against Utah, and Oklahoma - 5.5 to Nebraska. The next best performers were CalPete likes beer and vanman1013 at 14/22, and rickysanchez at 13/22. Our leader this week, class of 87, went 12/22.
- Only five people correctly picked Louisiana Tech + 21 against Boise State. Four people didn't even pick the game because of how early it was in the week. The same number picked Navy + 11 against Notre Dame, and Stanford + 7 against Oregon. Six picked Arizona State + 10 against USC, and nine picked Connecticut + 17 against Cincinnati.
- Six people incorrectly picked Virginia + 13.5 against Miami. Come on now, it's Al Groh!
- Eighteen people picked Oregon State + 7 against our Bears. I don't even want to list them all, but you know who you are.

I don't quite remember how the tiebreakers work, but it looks like we could have some issues sorting out who's going to be heading to the playoffs this year, as this is the last week of the regular season. Go team.

HA HA! He He...
You called my sister a “he.” Everybody, let me tell you the Class of ’87 is a girl. As they say in ultrarunning events, we are all being “chicked.”

I’m being out-handicapped by a girl? This is sign #489135 I should quit gambling.

HOW IS YOUR FAMILY SO GOOD AT MONEY-FREE GAMBLING? And can you teach me to do it when it matters?

AussieBrian...
Is my brother-in-law (’87’s husband). And the reason that we are so good at money-free gambling is simply because we can’t make money at it. If money were involved we’d total tank. Hell, the only reason why we aren’t authentic white-trash is because our house doesn’t have wheels (and I’m not THAT attacked to my sister); Dead cars: check; Dead appliances: check; weeds tall enough to hide the dead cars and appliances: check!

White trash
you’re not that attacked BY your sister, and also not that attached.
but thanks for upholding my honor, bro. and I did know we were picking against the spread in week one, I just didn’t have enough data to make good picks.
I’m still alive for the playoffs! But I need to beat syd lines up under center and I need Ragnarok to lose. Not happening, unless I get ridiculously lucky.

They finally did it.
Instead of having the halftime show with ‘analysts’ Mark May and Lou Holtz be chock full of unintentional comedy, the producers said “fuck it: we’re scrapping football talk and making it intentional comedy”
STAY THIRSTY, MY FRIENDS
hmm… Lou Holtz picks Notre Dame to beat Pitt and South Carolina to beat Florida. better take that advice!

So I missed the 1st half of Cinci-WVU. Has the game been as even as the score indicates?

i guess TAMU-CC was incredibly close to being a tourney team last year, and they return 9 of 10 players. Or something.
I don’t like the early season struggles track record of Oregon State teams. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT!

Everybody is in foul trouble and we are ice cold. We hit a buzzer beater to cut it to 12 at the end of the half. That was the only bright spot. We are 2 of 10 from the free throw line. We can still win this game, that’s the good thing. Just make our shots and stay out of foul trouble!

Oregon State is really starting to piss me off. Every year, it’s the same shit — there’s going to be one mind-blowing, idiotic loss that will reflect poorly on the conference… Football almost lost to UNLV this year (needed a time-expiring field goal) too.
JUST CUT THAT SHIT OUT, BEAVS. PLEASE.

This was the first round of the “Duel in the Desert” tournament in Lubbock. A&M CC was supposed to be the sacrificial lamb for OSU before the marque game against Texas Tech. Way to go Beavers.

Stanford is still losing early in the 2nd half. Landry Fields has 16 points and the rest of the team has 18. Interestingly, Jeremy Green, who was ‘suspended indefinitely’ after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence has played 12 minutes. That was a short suspension, coach Dawkins.

TAMU-CC has a shitload of size for a low-major… we’ll see how they do all year

Stanford appears to be Landry Fields and a bunch of crappy 3 point specialists this year. Down 6 with 12:30 left

what if I told you I guarded Landry Fields a bunch of times during our younger years?
you can guess — he lit me up good.
