Cal fans, are you excited?  Are you ready?  Me, I'm just happy that these days we have a competitive team.  A team that could beat down this USC Trojan team. 

Believe me, I remember a time when it seemed hopeless.  When it seemed like Cal couldn't beat anybody and we'd have a never ending array of painful losses to look forward to.

But enough about last saturday.  It's a new week now!  And we can erase the painful memories of the Oregon game (clearly, a homage to the Holmoe era, that Tedford, he's so retro!) with a great showing against the Trojans.  Use this thread to discuss all the pregame and first quarter action.  And don't forget to vote in the CGB Insta-poll.  Democracy in action.  GO BEARS!

In a funny spot

My whole family went to Cal ‘cept me (SJSU) so I’ve been bred blue’n gold’n all. My hoser family is in the stands right now.

But my old fiance went to Cal and even gave one of her kids the middle name of Berkeley (she met the air force puke she left me for at Cal, right?). So when they get plastered and lose I think of her and feel much better.

Usually your team loses, right, you feel real lousy, but with Cal I have this little tonic. Interesting.

We had some slight issues against Maryland, Minnesota and Eastern Washington. I guess the better the opponent the more it shows.
