Others receiving votes:
Oklahoma, Oregon State, Mississippi, Clemson, Brigham Young, Wisconsin
Dropped out this week:
Oklahoma, Texas Tech, BYU
Biggest Difference from AP Poll:
California +7, Arizona +5, South Carolina -4, Central Michigan +3, Boise State -3, Iowa +3
Biggest Difference from BCS Poll:
Cincinnati +5, Utah -4, California +3, South Carolina -3
This might be the least number of "others receiving votes" we've had thus far. And you know what was shocking? This poll is almost identical to the BCS poll! Alabama's and Florida's lackluster victories did nothing to move them down but it did allow Cincinatti and Iowa to gain while Texas continues to be punished. USC fell for struggling against the Beavers while Boise fell for only beating Hawaii by about 50 points. The only major movements were Miami's fall after losing to a Clemson team that lost to Maryland, TCU's leap after pounding BYU (who fell out of the poll) and West Virginia's triumphant entrance to the poll. Arizona meanwhile continues it's rise up the polls but for some reason cannot break into the top half. And I stopped voting for Idaho.
The Biggest Homer Award goes to...
... Missing Barry who voted for Cal as #1!
This award was presented to the user(s) who loved Cal the most out of everyone who voted this week
It's not a surprise anymore is it?
The OMG Cal Sux Award goes to...
... Rated-R Superstar, Berkelium97, GBB4188, and ragnarok, all of whom did not vote for Cal!
This award was presented to the user(s) who held a glass half-empty look at Cal
Frankly speaking I can't would've done the same if I wasn't this much of a Cal homer and I only voted Cal in at 24. A not so stellar beatdown of WSU proves nothing. Let's get Arizona State.
The Five Most Confusing Teams Were...
- Central Michigan
- California
- Notre Dame
- Utah
- West Virginia
Most people had the most trouble figuring out where these five teams belonged. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only.
Central Michigan because they're not a big team, Cal for the reasons stated above, Notre Dame and Utah because they haven't done much I'd say and they've lost a couple.
The Five Least Confusing Teams Were...
- Alabama
- Georgia Tech
- Pittsburgh
- LSU
- Oregon
Most people were generally on the same page when it came to these teams. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only otherwise all the crappy teams would top this list.
Surprised at the lack of confusion with 'Bama and GT. Nearly everyone thinks they are one of the best (Bama) or near (GT).
The Five Most Divergent Voters Were...
- GBB4188
- BeastMode
- MadBum
- ragnarok
- Takimoto
This avard was given to the five voters whose poll differed most from the overall Top 25.
Our resident Bruin fan wins it this time because of his vote for Iowa at #2 (along with BeastMode), Ohio State at #25, Wisconsin (!) at #23 and things like USC at #10 (the next lowest was by MadBum - nice name - at #9). BeastMode had Oregon at #5 and Texas at #9.
The Five Least Divergent Voters Were...
- Berkelium97
- Ohio Bear
- CruzinBears
- racsan
- Rated-R Superstar
This avard was given to the five voters whose poll differed the least from the overall Top 25.
Berkelium's only really out there vote was for West Virginia at #24 which was tied for the 2nd lowest with MadBum (lowest was by Takimoto).
So there you have it. Results from what I think was the most boring Saturday of college football this season.
The opinions expressed in a FanPost are, in every way, reflective of the opinions of every California Golden Blogs Marshawnthusiast. Moreover, they are reflective of every employee of SBNation, including Tyler "Blez" Bleszinski.

Least divergent now?!?!?!?!
Man I must have been clicking with my eyes closed (or lazily filling this one out)
I need to step my game up, and start diverging again…
Undefeated in Southern California since Oct. 2009...

I didn’t put much time into my vote….neither least divergent or most divergent, disappointing. Frankly, I think people should be voting USC higher. They have 3 wins, on the road, against teams that ended up in our Top 25. No other team can even come close to saying something like that. Losing a game happens when you play a tough schedule; stop rewarding the pansies. You gotta reward the wins – because 3 tough wins far outweighs one loss.

One day I’ll be most divergent. One day.
It'll be just you, me, and Peter Nincompoop.

I’m surprised I was least divergent, especially since I had Boise St at around 15 or 17. I don’t even know if I ranked Houston…
