It's over. Montezuma's Revenge has killed us all. Fun facts after the jump!
- Montezuma's Revenge was not the high scorer of the week - HolmoePhobe was, going 16/22. His only misses: West Virginia - 7.5 against Connecticut, Minnesota + 16.5 against Ohio State, Miami - 4.5 against Clemson, Utah - 9.5 against Air Force, South Carolina - 12.5 against Vanderbilt, and Texas Tech giving 21.5 to Texas A&M. Montezuma's Revenge, Valiant Carpetbaggers, Takimoto, class of 87, Bowlbasaur, and Hey Bowles Hall! managed to get 15/22 correct.
- vanman1013 and Bears Necessity were the only ones to correctly take Clemson + 4.5 against Miami.
- Bears Necessity and Barney Barnerges were also the only ones to incorrectly take Virginia against Georgia Tech. Avi was also one of only two people to take Baylor against Oklahoma State. Not to pile on!
- Nine people correctly picked Connecticut against West Virginia. Eleven people took Tennessee against Alabama.

Are you going to start reviewing the CGB pro fantasy league as well? My desire for you to do this is in no way connected to my standing in that league being way better than my standing in this one.

I guess I might as well.
Proud to hold season tickets to the only NBA team soon to be owned by a Russian oligarch.

I have no idea what you’re doing dropping McCoy and Williams, but I was more than happy to pick them up on waivers. Thanks!

McCoy has cost me enough games already, thankyouverymuch. Clausen’s more consistent and has better upside because he doesn’t throw picks, and if I see a particularly alluring matchup I can start Ryan Mallett who is a sexy, sexy stat machine against bad defenses. (Pity he’s playing Eastern Michigan this weekend rather than some other weekend, Clausen vs. Wazzu is too good a matchup to pass up.) Williams was a necessary sacrifice so that I could have depth at running back without having to chuck Michael Floyd, who will pay off like a slot machine once he gets back from his injury.

That makes sense. I think the dynamics of fantasy football are really interesting once you approach the playoffs. Someone who is fighting for a playoff spot will be dropping decent players in order to get better matchups for the immediate games. Whereas someone who is in good position to clinch (like myself) can sit there and wait to poach those dropped players off waiver and hang on to them for later in the season.
For me, I like starting Reesing. Except that he has tough matchups in weeks 11, 12, and 13. McCoy has great matchups those weeks. Similarly, Williams has great matchups down the stretch even though his matchups in the near future aren’t that great. So I was happy to grab him up now so that I can use him later.
For weeks 11, 12, and 13 my WRs will be Cobb, Broyles, and Williams….pretty solid on paper at least.

I'm happy to no longer be undefeated
Its a relief actually, that I finally lost a game. But to lose a game by less than 10 points is really hard. Reesing had an awful game….9 points? ARGH!
I have to say though, there were two weeks earlier in the season when I won by less than 3 points. So its all fair in love and football.

if you finish second!
If I finish second I’ll have to take his gloating along with a second helping of his delicious mashed potatoes at Christmas dinner. We still have what 5 weeks to catch him?

Mashed potatoes.
My mashed potatoes and gloating are much more palatable then my “Revenge,” if you know what I mean.
