Yup, this is real.

TouchedTheAxeIn82 recorded the entire game with his HD camera and I added Starkey’s play-by-play over it. Makes it 100% more watchable. In fact, after a few mins, you don’t even notice. I also added score, down/distance and time tickers.

Here’s a sample:

This ISO is for burning only and Chicago will post the .avi version in a few mins. Pls download both and remember to SEED!

I'm sure you've gone over this...

but are there programs where you can watch ISO files with?

by CaliforniaCMB on Oct 28, 2009 1:49 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

VLC Player and GOM player. For some reason the ISOs I make in Encore don’t play. I’m still working on it. The ISOs made by Chicago work fine. I’ll ask him what he uses.

what so this ISO won’t work with VLC? so i should just DL the avi?

by Thoroughbred on Oct 28, 2009 2:22 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes. I tested it with VLC and it won’t play. I’m still trying to figure out why. All of Chicago’s ISO do work…. the prob is with me.

I would recommend burning the ISO however. It looks much better on a TV.

by danzig on Oct 28, 2009 2:27 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Does it work if you mount the ISO?

by Yes We Cannon on Oct 28, 2009 3:27 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes. I underestimated you Cannon. It does because it’s the ifo file that is messed up. The VOBs are just fine. Just drag and drop the VOBs into VLC or GOM and I’m sure they’ll play (since they’re MPEG2). …after you mount it to a virtual drive that is.

Do you want to do the honors and explain this process to Twist? Remember to speak s-l-o-w-l-y.

I appreciate the sarcastic attempt to insult me, but I can’t hear it, because somebody is jiggling their keys nearby. SHINY!!

Sarcasm? Ohhh… right. Sarcasm. Yeah.

by danzig on Oct 28, 2009 3:55 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don’t know if I’m qualified to explain the process, but I haven’t had any issues other than minor video ones.

This link covers the steps for what I do, (I haven’t had any problems with DaemonTools as the program to mount the image, just be sure you aren’t agreeing to install anything in addition to the program or paying for anything (there should be free options available)): http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/mount_watch_iso_files_page1.html

(I started typing up a post, but it ended up getting too long and unnecessarily explained certain things, so I’m leaving it to the link to go over what has to be done, for everyone’s sake).

by Yes We Cannon on Oct 28, 2009 4:13 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Thanks...

But this dumb computer has no burner. I’ll grab the AVI.

by CaliforniaCMB on Oct 28, 2009 10:32 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

You can download the AVI version. It’s not as pretty or sharp, but it works on anything.

by danzig on Oct 28, 2009 2:07 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Any insight into why this file wont download?

It’s working fine. Is anyone seeding it? There should be quite a few by now.

Just download it directly from this link (right click, save as):

I don't know how you guys do it

Amazing. Great job.

I’ll probably put up the rest of my highlights today on the YouTubes, for people who don’t want to download the game and enjoy the fine views of the back of student’s heads.

Actually, it’s pretty weird, but TTA figured… “Hey, it’s better than nothing.” I agree.

The funny parts are when Starkey says stuff like, “This game isn’t televised so you won’t ever get to see this, but boy oh boy, did you miss a great catch!” We sure showed him.

Thanks man. I think PRD74, Avi and TTA deserve all the credit. Their arms must have been KILLING them by the end of the game and they prob weren’t even able to enjoy themselves fully.

This is incredible

You’ve really outdone yourself this time, Danzig. I can’t thank you enough for editing all this together into a pseudo-broadcast. And many thanks to Avi, PRD, and TTA82 for recording at the game.

Quick question...

Since I am now Windows illiterate, can someone help me out with the process of getting the ISO file burned to a dvd… on a Mac?

Any help is mucho appreciado, I need my mid-week Cal fix.

Thanks in advance, it looks like a lot of work went into this project. Great job guys!

Not a problem. Burning ISOs takes some skill.

Download this freeware (Download Now button on the right):
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/ImgBurn/1128426215/1

Install. Start program. Insert blank DVD.

See the red area? Click “Write Image file to disk”

“Please select file” … select the iso file.

Hit this button below:

This should burn the ISO. Eject and put into your DVD player.

Whoa. On a Mac?

Sorry, missed that part. I used to know, but have no idea now. It has something to do with disk utilities… but I really can’t remember. You using OSX? I have a mac, but it’s more furniture than computer.

by danzig on Oct 28, 2009 5:38 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yea I’m on OSX, any help is much appreciated.

If not, would you recommend just DL the avi file?

I don’t know what free programs work – I paid for Toaster in order to be able to burn the ISO.

You can try mounting the disk image and using the native DVD player to watch.

I’m going with the avi file for now, and just seeing how to s-video cable translates onto the tv…

the avi file has the starkey audio too right?
