Cal-Washington State 2009: Highlights from the Stands

Few video notes

It’s a playlist, so it’s not just an 11 second clip. Just press play and the video will do the rest of the work for you.

I missed a few plays—the Ross kickoff was really out of focus, the Best 40 yard touchdown I had no angle at getting on camera, and of course I was gifted with failure in height and was behind a six foot gal—and the battery was dying for the final two quarters, so I had to be economical with the time I spent on each clip.

I’m not sure if this was in HD or not (probably isn’t), but was trying to make sure I had enough space and all that. It was all about making sure I got as many plays as possible (as it turns out, I got about 85-90% recorded, and 75-80% watchable!).

I’ll probably put up another vid with Wazzu highlights on Coug Center and link to it here later on this week, look out for that.

Avi, did you spot Kendricks playing a lot? Was curious if he was getting a lot of snaps

Played a little bit, but I’m guessing his shoulder’s bothering him enough that they’re limiting his snaps. He only had one tackle. Saw some Price, although mostly it was only the starting four

In the future, if we don’t have TV coverage… we need to do something like this.

A real quick couple of observations.....

we ran a lot of the zone read play….and….

wsu came down real hard on the inside zone blocking….leaving the bounce out really really open.

Avi, for the people who didn’t see this on TV, your clips (and all the effort and hard work behind them) are appreciated greatly. Thank you.

Sweet!

I’m impressed how many plays you got recorded. And I was very excited to get to see the Ross TD in particular since it didn’t make the televised hilight package.

I’m starting to really like that 3 WR bunch formation; versus UCLA we had a nice cutback run to the weak side with Shane followed closely by Marvin Jones’ second TD. This game we had a run up the middle for a TD, with the only formation difference being Riley under center instead of in the shotgun. We have a lot of looks out of that formation and so far we have had some success in it. (Of course I am sure there have been failures that I haven’t paid attention to LOL).

Also, if you watched using the embedded player like I did, I highly recommend going to Youtube directly as you get a much bigger player that way (at least I do).
