Here's a teaser of the Cal-Wazzu highlights: Jahvid Best's 61 yard TD run that turns on the jets, gets great zone blocking, races past the containing defender, runs past my video camera to make it 35-3. The rest of the highlights coming tomorrow!

He had Riley throw a pass to Anthony Miller for 14 yards, didn’t he?

No offense, Avi, but watching this video reminded me of watching grainy film of high school prospects.
Thanks for bothering with the video at all, though!
So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!
GIVE ME MY HIGHLIGHT VIDEO TO THIS GAME NOW DANZIG. OR I WILL EAT YOUR CHILDREN

oooohhhkay…
I’m calling your bluff. Eat my children… I dare ya. Here’s some sriracha sauce.

Seriously tho, I’m not sure there will be a HL. PRD said he’ll bring back some footage from his HD camcorder… I hope I can get some clips from Avi and piece together what shows up on the Cal Sports Report… but I wouldn’t get my hopes up for any kind of normal recap highlight reel.
haha, i was just kidding bruh. you do great work here. seriously, you should be paid by the Cal Athletics Dept. i don’t think we’re expecting much in the way of highlights.
So your first-born is Sriracha Sauce?

Yeah, I know.
I keep telling my friends that I can eat pretty much anything if you give me a bottle of sriracha sauce.
Is there nothing that doesn’t immediately taste better when covered in Sriracha? I can’t think of anything…

danzig, my clips are really low-tech; some of them are REALLY BAD quality, lot of it has to do with the sun being exposed right into the camera, more of it has to do with being in the student section and having to peak through standing heads. You’ll see the majority of it tomorrow.
I’d go with PRD for this, he’ll probably have better stuff (I’m assuming he sat on the better side of the stadium).

I haven’t looked at my video, but I don’t expect it to be what I would call “better stuff”. During one TD run my brother raised his arms completely blocking my view. Frustrating…
Not sure if you two were aware of this but there was no TV so us fans have nada. Squat.
I’m so desperate to see some of these plays I’ll take anything… anything. Descriptions using flowery language. Sequential pictures. Reenactments involving your dog. Smoke signals, anything.
Anything that you two were able to capture would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
I thought it was very watchable
Filming from the stands with arms being raised in front of you with every touchdown and your arms and shoulder cramping from holding the camera is something that goes beyond just “bothering”.
yay!
“hand off to best up the middle…and he’s gone”
Go Bears Go
If I had to guess? Giving the offensive line just a little bit longer to set up their blocks. But yeah, I dunno.

It’s a timing thing. Most of the time on our run plays they have the RB take a half-step back and then go forward. If you watch game footage you’ll see it.

i caught this on my tivo this evening after the osu-usc game. sorry for the poor quality but my upstream sucks and i wanted to get this up before heading off to bed:

Thank god. I was so wondering what these plays looked like.
Hey Cal 98, would you be willing to let me download the source file off vimeo? All you need to do is go to the video>>settings>>privacy>>check the box to allow downloads.
Wow, that was great stuff. Really makes all the work that Avinash and PRD74 did seem like a complete and total waste of time. Why did you do that to them Cal 98? Why do you hate Avinash and PRD74?

Hey Cal98, if you post this video as a fanshot, Twist can frontpage it and maybe more of our fans will have a chance to see it.
will do, danzig. i will post it as a fanshot in a few minutes. i haven’t done it before so hopefully i won’t botch it.
Well, danzig kinda beat you to the punch putting up Touched The Axe’s video. So, although I really appreciate your video here, we don’t probably need two videos of the same highlights up on the front page. Post up the fanshot if you so desire, but we probably would not front page. Thank you and sorry.

“brung”? “we was”? jeremy ross had a great game and all, but that interview was a little embarrassing. he’s supposed to be a student at berkeley. can’t he at least use proper grammar and words that actually exist?

sure, they speak almost entirely in tired sports cliches and slang, which is fine. but is elementary school grammar really too much to expect from a student at a top university?

I notice you did not capitalize the first letters in your sentences. I learned that in kindergarten, personally.

that’s just a stylistic device. also, i don’t publicly represent the university of california. if i did, i would capitalize.

In many ways, atomsareenough, I feel like you do publicly represent the university of california. I look to you for inspiration in daily life all the time!

Wow, “all the time”. I totally didn’t realize!
I guess I’ll have to start capitalizing now; an adoring public (a.k.a. TwistNHook) awaits!
