Two years predicts future success?
The guys at CC have an interesting post up which presents some pretty compelling evidence that a coaches's performance after only two years can predict their future success.

I think it’s probably a pretty good indicator, but the reality is they just gave us a sample size of 8…
This would be interesting if it were actually based on real records. It isn’t.
Oregon State tied for the Pac-10 championship and went to the Fiesta Bowl in Erickson’s second year. Mike Stoops has averaged a 6th place finish in the conference after since his first year. Dirk Koetter was third in the conference in his second year. There are probably more errors, but you get the point.
