Fun facts after the jump.  And don't forget to let us know here if you want to join the CGB Fantasy Basketball league!

Star-divide

  • YoQuieroOski was the high scorer for this week, with 11 of 16 games picked correctly (everyone pushed on Oklahoma/Texas) - the incorrect picks were Ohio State -13.5 to cover against Purdue, Nebraska -10.5 against Texas Tech, Minnesota +17.5 against Penn State, and BYU - 17 against San Diego State.
  • Only five people picked San Diego State to cover against BYU.  Only six people correctly picked Purdue.  Ten picked Colorado against Kansas.  Thirteen people picked Georgia Tech against Virginia Tech.
  • As previously mentioned, everyone pushed on Oklahoma/Texas, but only sixteen people picked Oklahoma.
  • No one picked against Cal this week, but I'm fairly certain Harsha would have. And some others of you would have as well. Just admit it.

COLLEGE FANTASY FOOTBALL

I really should just use this thing.  As a matter of fact, I've been cribbing off normal game stories for ages now.  So instead of beating around the bush (because I lost to a team that's not even being actively managed anymore), let's just jump straight to the results:

dballers_are_all_loose def. Rag's Doombringers 150-114
Rock Runners def. Syd lines up under center 120-112
Holmoe Phobes def. Energia del Burro 109-88
The Ghosts of Ty Willingham def. Yellow Fever 91-56
TimeForSomeAction def. 1 83-79

Man dballers I hope this doesn't end the way my fantasy NFL team ended last year

Undefeated, first round playoff loss. That would SUCK.

Thanks for the optimism. I actually figured I’d play Rags in the playoffs, and was pretty scared of that fate….except that beating him….nay, DESTROYING him last weekend….makes me feel a lot better.

I told my wife that I was 7-0 and she said I need to find a new job. I reminded her that I make 2x what she makes. She got served.

Hey YF, any idea when the ESPN fantasy basketball draft will be? Or are you waiting for more people to join before you decide such things?

If that was the first thing to offend her, she hasn’t been reading these last nearly 3 (!!?!?!?) years.

Come now, it’s just an Arrested Development reference

It is, by far, the least offensive thing ever said on this website.

I forgot to fill out my pick’em form until there were only 8 games or so left. Sad panda.

He totally kicked my ass this week with an unbelievable performance. I would have beaten him had we faced in any of the previous 4 weeks. And I still have the highest overall score. I’m looking forward to the playoff rematch.

So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!

Yeah, per my post above, I really didn’t expect to beat you this weekend. Your team is a scoring machine. Then a strange thing happened….Randall Cobb (who played QB for KY last year) became a dual threat WR/RB in the wildcat formation, and Mark Ingram decided to show the world he’s a Heisman candidate.

I hope to see you in the playoffs, yet despite the bravado desplayed in my post above, I’m really kinda scared.

I’m playing The Ghosts of Tyrone Willingham, who by virtue of Cal playing Wazzu this weekend could potentially not suck. Gotta make it to .500! At least I don’t have Colt McCoy dragging me down anymore. [watches McCoy throw for 300 yards, 3 tds and no interceptions against Mizzou, Jimmy Clausen tears his ACL in the first quarter against BC.]

It was fantastic."
