It actuality it was endzone-to-endzone. So amazing

As well as side to side. It was probably 115 yards in all.

Pleased with the game so far. Sure, our defense has been soft. But focus on the fact that it hasn’t been killing us. Our offense has been moving. Awesome.
All aboard the Jahvid Best rickshaw!
How many great big plays has our offense had? Big runs by Best and Vereen, deep throws by Riley, a huge game from Marvin, good pass protection. Lots of positives!
The #1 greatest threat to America: BEARS
Exactly. Vereen is finally making the coaching staff seem smart for insisting that he is just as good as Best.
Run protection hasn’t been the best for Best, but they do have Brian Price. Best eventually decided: fuck it, I am scoring here and there is nothing you can do about it.
Riley has had some poor throws, but from 2 weeks ago to this week is like shit to a diamond.

Another great thing: we can honestly say that Kevin Riley is outplaying Colt McCoy.

I find it funny that when the team is playing well, I am the harshest critic; but when the team had been playing poorly previously I am one of the biggest homers.

I entirely understand that. But, if we are presuming that we keep playing this well on offense, then 14 points won’t be too big a problem. I think we end up at around 55 points with about 500 yards.

But Fucla is on pace for 40 points and 570 yards. Need D to play better in 2nd half. I’m frustrated by the big plays we gave up to those guys.
Praise be to Tedford!
I think my mindset right now is that we have hit rock bottom the past few weeks, and any breath of fresh air should be cherished.

KO
note UC Los Angeles, with an excellent kicker and an excellent punter, has the punter boom the kick-offs out of the end zone. (I think Locke has been handeling the ko.)
I think most teams shy away from that, worrying that the KO mechanics will screw up their punter. But seems to be working for them. I wonder if it is something Cal should consider with the strong leg of Anger.

100 degrees in LA at kickoff
On Cal’s last offensive series, Mark Boskovich and Brian Schwenke were in at guard. It looks as though the coaching staff is rotating players on both sides of the ball because of the heat.

For those who care about Cal band
Bruins Nation gives them props
Cal’s band plays 4 or 5 modern pop songs that I’m not a fan of, but are cool to hear from a band. Organized, original, well done.
Our band plays with 26 high school bands so there’s no room for choreography or anything interesting. I like our band. LET THEM PLAY.It’ss one thing to bring in this stuff in September when we don’t have our full band, but this is a joke.

Another great Vereen run.
His dad has tough job working sideline mic thingy. Has to be quiet while his son is running, that probably takes a lot of discipline.
It’s a directional mic, so he doesnt have to be completely quiet. But yeah, he probably cant be overtly rooting
