CGB Tailgate This Weekend: What Time Works for You?
We kinda ran out of time for the Maryland one, and it's clear this is going to be the one where everyone shows up. We'll put up a frontpage fanshot later today or tomorrow morning so you can RSVP. So far we've worked out a few things.
- The place: Right now, we're aiming at Memorial Glade. If anyone has better alternatives, suggest them, but I think this works well for a first time.
- The setup: ragnarok will be bringing most of the essentials for a tailgate.
- The food: It's a pot-luck!!! Bring food or drinks or something useful, like wireless Internet or a Cal student account to access ESPN360 on a laptop...or a laptop to access said ESPN360.
- The invites: Via Facebook. Anyone in our Facebook group will get invites. So if you want an invite but aren't in our group, here's the link, join now. If you show up without an invite, Twist reserves the right to honk you.
All we need now is a time and a length (we're thinking maybe an hour to an hour and a half). We have two options.
- Early in the day, starting around noon or 1. That'll give people time to stop by for a bit, with plenty of time left over before the game to check out their usual stops on gameday.
- Closer to kickoff so that it ends around 3:30-4. That way you can run to all of your events before ending up here, then head straight to the game.
We're flexible with our times, so we'll turn it over to you, loyal commenters. Who can come and what times work for you? The faster we get the best time for everyone, the sooner we can get the Facebook invite up and you can all stare at each other's profiles trying to guess who is who.
The opinions expressed in a FanPost are, in every way, reflective of the opinions of every California Golden Blogs Marshawnthusiast. Moreover, they are reflective of every employee of SBNation, including Tyler "Blez" Bleszinski.

I strongly recommend the earlier time. Most people’s usual tailgating locations are on Southside, closer to the stadium, so it would be harder for people to go all the way up to Memorial Glade and then back to the game.

lemme see... 1 to 3?
“Fentons Ice Cream Giveaway (1-3pm)
Memorial Glade
What’s the best way to cool off on a hot day? Free ice cream, of course! Fentons Creamery, a 115-year- old tradition serving handcrafted treats, will be on site to scoop out free servings of its most popular flavors. Sponsored by the Student Homecoming Team and California Alumni Association."

… then haul ass to Sproul for the rally, make way up to stadium and watch pre-game?

Alright
Don’t worry people, you can leave the Facebook group if you don’t want to be there. Although Hydro will probably hunt you down.
Here’s the link where you can RSVP.

Why on earth do you want internet at a tailgate....

Decent place to park there?
Ive never been to the Glade, is there anywhere near where i can park my car for the game?
In communist Russia, Sanchez declares YOU!
Im guessing you dont have a parking pass, but if you did, there is a lot at the corner of Hearst and Euclid.
I sometimes park in North Berkeley. I actually found an all day spot just a few blocks from campus there in the EWU game, although that was a miracle. Generally, I have to park higher up Euclid. Which is fine with me, because I love to walk the streets of Berkeley. I’m weird like that.
So, I would suggest combing North Berkeley for a spot.

thanks guys
I’ll just drive around north side till i find something, shouldn’t be that bad, I too enjoy the streets of Berkeley especially on game days, so no issues here.

There are never any objections to beer. Unless no one brings food.
So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!
Lies....
I like the first part of your answer standing alone better…
