Cal v. WSU 9.6.08 2nd Quarter Thread

Cal up 21-3 at the end of the first half.  Stunning start to the game.  Cal's O has cooled a bit and the Cal D is not softening slightly.  This was the 2006 score.  We have 3 quarters to go.  Let's not get cocky here.  Go Bears!

I’m tired of all these teams dancing around before the game starts showing how pumped up they are… Just once I’d love to see a football team that represents the way society really feels before big events—nervous, and scared. And full of Paxil and Xanax.

Nate's in!!!

On defense.

Has anyone been by the stadium recently?

There is a huge pile of wood chippings, I wanted to go climb and roll around in it and freeze it so we could skate on it in the winter and melt it in the spring time and drink it!!!!

by GoldBlooded on Sep 6, 2008 4:25 PM PDT   0 recs

I dunno but I’m still trying to determine if there’s a way I can set up a lemonade stand outside of the Greek Theater to fix the drymouth all the Dave Matthews fans have.

careful woofing there

I loved the coug bball teams from the last couple years, but losing weaver, cowgill, and lowe isn’t going to make things easy. we have backcourt talent and a good coach. and let’s NOT forget, we won in pullman last year with braun.

by CBKWit on Sep 6, 2008 4:40 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Oh, trust me

I have not forgotten. I just know that we’re still going to be good. Klay Thompson is the real deal, and Rochestie is better than most people give him credit for. It’s going to be a fun Pac-10 year — lots of parity, I think. Much more than this past year, where it was pretty predictable, for the most part.

by Nuss on Sep 6, 2008 4:44 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

yeah, I like Rochestie too and I know Thompson’s going to be good. And I completely agree, I think the Pac 10 will be very even. If I had to guess, I’d say cal & wsu will split in bball.

Best thing about the Follet play was the class he showed in the end zone.

Celebrated with the team but no showboating. Was great to see that kind of leadership.

Go Sox!

That looked a lot like the Dell TD in the second half of last week. We totally blew that play with Hicks’ missed tackled. Good thing it was called back with a penalty.

by Berkelium97 on Sep 6, 2008 4:36 PM PDT   0 recs

why can’t Hicks tackle?
