Cal v. Colorado State 9.27.08 Third Kwarter Thread
Since it is unclear whether any CGB Marshawnthusiast will be at a computer for the game today, we've decided to put up all these threads ahead of time. Pregame Thread. First Kwarter. Second Kwarter.
The band is off the field, the team has come back on. Let's get ready for the second half. Use this one to discuss all the game's third kwarter action.
If you missed anything this week, don't forget to check out our discussion of interesting rules, including Ragnarok's favs. We also discussed the national football rankings and the Pac10 football rankings. And regarding today's opponent, CSU, we had a Q+A with another blog, looked at some game film, and took a shallow look at their O and D.
So, comment away!

ha!
to bad we didn’t have a feed of 1/2 time without the tv half time….
Rehire Tom Holmoe!
I think that guy at Top Dog with the long hair who has been there for at least 16 years may be moving on soon. Who will make my bockwurst when he’s gone? Holmoe.
Your ideas are hereby declared awesome.

let's just have Syd touch the ball every play on offense, defense, and special teams
I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.
I'd say it already cost us the Maryland game
Though it wasn’t the only reason…some of those kickoffs were embarassing.

No, that was epic
This is bad, but not awfully bad.

Looked like hyperextension, not a break or anything.
Hopefully it should be okay.

hyperextended elbow... whew... eblow is not a big deal...
I’ve hyperextened my elbow twice… just as long as you don’t tear tendons it’s not that bad and even if you do you still have a wide range of mobility with it (trust me).
thank god it wasn’t the knee. !!!!
We’re kind of up by 28. And it’s not like they’re running the ball anymore.

I think the pass rush has been fairly strong the entire season. Even at Maryland.

I don't know
Riley and the receivers still need a lot of work getting on the same page, and we’ve got a pretty big conference game next week.

One theory
Tedford got scared with the Best injury and wanted to put in the scrubs, a.k.a. what Tressel should’ve done.
I just had the thought that we might be becoming the Clemson of the Pac-10
And not in a good way, mind you.

Cameron's fault...
was a bit behind, but was drop. Nate is looking unusually fast… and he’s lost his injury weight.
So, might be too early to say anything...
But looks like this weekend the 1, 3, and 4 teams will have lost.
Alabama 24-0
is starkey
quoting from the devil and the white city? or does he just know about the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair?
If only we were in the SEC
Great defense and special teams pencils in eight wins.

Do not dare besmirch the Schnellenberger!

Just curious...
but does that mean that if you coach at The ‘U,’ you can add ‘The’ to your name?
The Erickson…

or the Coker?

bad
Best has a 100 yards, but offense is really not looking fantastic. The really got one from the refs that gave them the TD on offense
looks like our little Darian's all grown up
I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.
I’m totally confused. I’ve never seen him rollout. Ever.

I think Kevin starting has made him grow his skill set… perhaps even re-define his style. Let’s see how he looks in the 4th… but I have a suspicion that Kevin is coming back out in the 4th… Coach is just getting Nate reps me thinks.
Kevin? No.
Probably Brock. Hydro’s going to faint in the stadium.

hahahahahaha
I was hoping they’d put in Mansion. I prayed and pleaded with God but to no avail.
