Cal v. Colorado State 9.27.08 Second Kwarter Thread

Since it is unclear whether any CGB Marshawnthusiast will be at a computer for the game today, we've decided to put up all these threads ahead of time.  Pregame Thread.  First Kwarter

Use this one to discuss all the game's second kwarter action.

If you missed anything this week, don't forget to check out our discussion of interesting rules, including Ragnarok's favs.  We also discussed the national football rankings and the Pac10 football rankings.  And regarding today's opponent, CSU, we had a Q+A with another blog, looked at some game film, and took a shallow look at their O and D

So, comment away!

what the

There are people in the post-game thread already?

I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

Ew.

SECURE THE BALL.

by BearsNecessity on Sep 27, 2008 4:02 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

whoops

Might want to work on that ball security.

I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

Oh I know

I’m just equally bitter because I was debating between Pryor and Skinner. Hydro took Pryor. Sigh.

the level of discourse in the justin.tv chatroom is beyond retarded

Which makes me all the more thankful for you guys!

These announcers are kinda useless

Right now they’re debating whether “football should be an Olympic sport”. Yeah, who exactly would we play?

those buggers up north!

Nice job by Hagan

And then Syd the Squid with the blitz.

by BearsNecessity on Sep 27, 2008 4:11 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

BYU should not be overlooked.

They followed up that 59-0 score with a 44-0 beatdown and have won 14 straight.

Bad O-line play there

Riley got pressured on those last two after a bad throw the first time.

It's tough this week

Since TV coverage is limited, it’s a home game and half the commenters are there, and justin.tv requires watching on a different browser.

by BearsNecessity on Sep 27, 2008 4:25 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I just wish it was HD

The Comcast Sports Net coverage is good, but I’ve gotten spoiled by HD. And it feels like the score is a sham, since we should not have gotten 7 on that first TD. He tossed the ball away at the 1.

Just make sure to ignore the chat room. The level of inanity in there is driving me crazy. I have to put a Freecell window over it.

Whoa that works… !!

Time warner nyc for some reason is showing Oregon instead of Cal and Gameplan isn’t showing it either.

by danzig on Sep 27, 2008 4:40 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

someplace

is more inane than here?

by LeonPowe on Sep 27, 2008 4:40 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

But surely not as inane as the Boston Celtics locker room!

I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

And the receivers didn’t show up until late in the second.

I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

Did you watch the 49ers last season?

That’s how Cal’s offense looked most of the first half.

by BearsNecessity on Sep 27, 2008 4:58 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ug… i’m just reading the stats and trying to imagine the fumbles.
