Arizona State @ California to be televised regionally on ABC

PrintHey guys, C.W. here from House Of Sparky. Just wanted to let you know that the October 4th contest between our two teams will be on ABC regional.
Despite dropping their last two games, the Arizona State Sun Devils will be televised on a regional basis when they travel to play the California Bears.
The ABC network picked the game for their 12:30 p.m. PT time slot on October 4. The Oregon at USC game will be either on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2 at 5:00 p.m. PT.
Other Pac-10 games being televised that day are Stanford at Notre Dame on NBC, starting at 11:30 a.m. PT, and Washington at Arizona in a national cablecast on the Versus network at 4:30 p.m. PT.
Looks like we will be getting a quality broadcast for a change, instead of Fox Sports.

Hydrotech, get your cable box ready
Okanes has some broadcast news:
There was some miscommunication by all parties involved with regard to accessing games on Comcast SportsNet West. For those viewers in the Bay Area, games on CSN West — such as Saturday’s against Colorado State — are available on Channel 99 for those who have standard cable, but only if you have a cable box. If you have standard cable but no box, the game won’t be available. As always, the best thing to do if you are unsure if you can get the game is to call your local Comcast office.
I’m cable-stupid. I’ve never had to use a box. In my 4 years at Cal, I never had to pay for cable either. I always got it free. Even my landlords didn’t pay for it. I guess I was lucky. So now when I finally do have to pay for cable, they give me some huge ass black electronic box thing and expect me to know wtf to do with it??? What did I do with it? I left it unplugged and used it as a platform for my tivo.

Unfortunately the subscription (both weekly and full subscription) is pretty expensive. Perhaps I’ll hit up a sports bar, though as far as I can tell there aren’t too many Cal alum near where I live.
