YouTube Thursday - Teenage Mutant Ninja Terrapins!
Let's be honest. Even in the midst of Turtle Trap Week (not to be confused with Trutle Tarp Week), you couldn't care less about watching YouTube clips of Jordan Steffy, Darius Heyward-Bey, and Josh Portis. You already know that Maryland isn't the greatest team in the world. I mean, they lost to Middle Tennessee State last week 24-14!
So who needs advance YouTube clips of their tendencies? Not me. But what Turtle Week does provide is an excuse to show some classic clips of some Teenage Mutant Ninja Terrapins!
OH NO IT'S EXO-SHREDDER KICKING SOME TMNT SHELL! I'll bet he dined on some TURTLE SOUP that night! Hint to Jahvid and Kevin: see the Shredder. Be the Shredder.

But let's give these Teenage Mutant Ninja Terrapins their due. They're effective in limited doses against cannon fodder. Which is actually a pretty good way of describing the rest of the ACC.
This is, for my money, the greatest movie clip of all time. For a number of reasons. Ninja, ninja rap!
Who else even remembered that there was a TMNT 3 made? Not many people, judging by the fact that there is an incredible dearth of other TMNT 3 clips on YouTube.
One can only hope that Maryland Terrapins have a blooper reel as fascinating as this one after this Saturday's game.
But let's be charitable. It's not all fun and games around here, and there are highlights of the Terrapins football team. Such as this promo film:
Or this one of 2007 Terp football:
The Terrapins are known for having a great set of WRs this year. You got Emani Lee-Odai, Danny Oquendo, Isaiah Williams, LaQuan Williams, and Darrius Heyward-Bey.
Here's more on Heyward-Bey.
Heres a rather sick catch by Danny Oquendo:
The coaches name is Ralph Freidgen. He's a big man.
Before his first game:
Here he is dancing after winning the ACC Championship:
Interview after knocking off NC State:
What Maryland Terrapin themed YouTube Thursday would be complete without their theme song? Not this one!
Oh god, that is so good. Brings back great memories. Hopefully, Coach Tedford will teach the team to be ninja teens this weekend! Go Bears!

I think the best part about all this
Is knowing that we have no leaders here.
I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

I’d follow TuckNJersey to the gates of hell. But I wouldn’t go in, and I’d only do it if we were playing follow the leader.

Cool but . . .
Sorry to reopen an internet debate as vicious and partisan as mac/pc, but I always heard the theme as “cool but crude.” Discuss.

Fuck you. Get the fuck off this blog and never come back.
In fact, if I ever see you on any Cal blog, I will destroy you. I will follow you to the gates of Hell. But not go in. That’s just not my style.

WRONG
It was totally “cool but rude”. Mostly because the target audience would have no idea what the word “crude” means.
I'm still wondering why the Nets didn't draft Leon Powe.

HA HA HA! Classic!
Man, that brings up some fond old memories. I used to love those guys. I remember I was always sad because I was losing my little action figure Ninja Turtles, which you could fight against Shredder and such.
When the movie came out, I begged my parents to take me. Initially they wouldn’t because they said it was two violent. When I wouldn’t shut up about they finally did. I thought it was single handily the best movie production ever. Wow, now it looks pretty stupid to be honest…

Yikes, I meant to say ‘too’ up above, not ‘two!’ That’s embarrassing. We need edit buttons. Like, really bad. Kids, let this be a lesson, alcohol kills brain cells. Only in my case I never had many to begin with…

Go ninja go ninja go!
I remember watching this in theaters; I daresay it’s more memorable for my generation than, e.g., Challenger, or the Berlin Wall coming down.
Also, the arcade game was amazing.

Trappings like when he trapped his jersey in his basketball shorts by tucking it in? I don’t think anyone will ever understand that.
