PrintAs the college football season nears closer and closer this Thursday when Wake Forest takes on Baylor, I must say that I am looking VERY forward to this years’ games. After all, I had to sit through a whole off season without football, and there weren’t even any Pacman Jones stories to keep me entertained during this dry spell (I mean, c’mon Adam, pick up the pace). That being said, as a Cal fan, I realize the futility of having any enthusiasm towards this year because, let’s face it, we have no expectations really....

It doesn’t tell you anywhere when publishing a fanpost that y’all have some general guidelines about fanposts. So you’ll have to either be loose about the guidelines or unreasonable with your expectations.
I think unreasonable with your expectations would include “deleting posts.” I’m not going to do that, Zoo News. I was merely trying to inform the good gentleman, KC Cal, about the DBD. In my own special way.

Really, don’t feel bad, he’s not actually serious. His snide remarks are actually meant to be funny! But there was no way to know that. I enjoyed your review, even if I didn’t really want to relive some of those games… sigh.
Well, I think we are looking for the FanPosts to be more substantive. Include commentary or analysis or photos. If it just a single link, the Bear Dump should be sufficient. That way we don’t push the FanPosts down the page really quickly because of a few FanPosts with just a link to a story.
That said, I can be snide and condescending all day long (and that’s actually true), but it is generally AFTER the fact. We do need to figure out a way to take care of this BEFORE the fact. Although, to be fair, I do love to be snide and condescending.

I’m new to all this ok, and like zoonews said, there aren’t any clearly stated guidelines about publishing fanposts or single links.
At first I thought, man, I should email SBN, see what they can do about this. Then I realized I could do something myself. So, now when someone joins CGB, the short community statement that they have to agree to includes a link to our FanPosts vs. FanShots guide, so everyone should know the deal going in.
It also includes a short statement warning people not to take Twist too seriously. None of us do, but if you’re new here, obviously, I can see where you might be mistaken.
So, basically, you gotta Go Bears!
