6/18 DBD: Another Alumni Edition
Because the more pressing news is already being covered on the front page, I thought I'd bring your attention to:
Aaron Rodgers altering his mechanics from what Tedford told him:
"It's really where I carried the ball," Rodgers said. "It's not a conscious thing. We were drilled every day at Cal to hold the ball high and were drilled in the way our arm dropped. When I got to the NFL, we weren't doing that every day. It came up with a more natural position."
Also, the man has cut his hair .
Rodgers' decision to tighten up does not appear contagious, however. Linebacker A.J. Hawk, who wears his hair at shoulder-pad length, said he has no plans to follow suit.
"He looks like he's about 13 years old right now," Hawk said. "I don't think I'll be doing it any time soon."
And hey, we'll finally get to see that whole Alex Smith vs. Rodgers debate settled.
Rodgers' backfield mate that season?
Arizona Cardinals running back J.J. Arrington was among five people arrested after a fight at a nightclub in North Carolina.
Police in Rocky Mount said an off-duty officer called for assistance around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after the fight broke out at the D&I Center nightclub. Arrington, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct.
I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing J.J. on AIM a lot less now.
