Seems like we always do Gold tops/Blue pants during bowl games.

Gold tops/blue pants are used for almost all primetime games.

If we can put the Hurricanes in 3rd and long situations we should be set on that side of the ball.

Damn good gap assignments and Hill shedding his blocker.

He was looking for Verran

by danzig on Dec 27, 2008 5:23 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ouch... that last play

he might not get sacked on that play but that was a really risky throw. Had a bad feeling of a pick six.

by BleedinBlue on Dec 27, 2008 5:26 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That is some crazy coverage breakdown

That was just a straight wide receiver streak. No way it should go to the house from that distance.

by BearsNecessity on Dec 27, 2008 5:26 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That replay sure looks like he was down

they need to have a better angle than that

by turkey on Dec 27, 2008 5:28 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I still think they can overturn based on that angle.

Doesn’t matter… it means we can pad Jahvid’s stats.

by danzig on Dec 27, 2008 5:28 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Agreed

He would have to stretch his arms 6 feet from where his knee was down at first

I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.

by The VD Special on Dec 27, 2008 5:29 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

They need better camera angles

What the hell can you tell from that?

by BearsNecessity on Dec 27, 2008 5:28 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yea he was down. We’ll pick it up right here

by GoldenBear421 on Dec 27, 2008 5:28 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

funny how running outside seems to always work….

by turkey on Dec 27, 2008 5:31 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

My question is why do so many coaches challenge a TD like that when it would only put the ball at the 1 or 2 anyway

Risking a time-out. More often then not, the offense is going to punch it in when they have 1st and goal from the 2. But if a call doesn’t get overturned and the team loses the time out, that could cost them points at the end of the half

Miami kept on stacking the box

Something like that was bound to happen.

by BearsNecessity on Dec 27, 2008 5:40 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Jahvid needs 1 more TD to tie Blount for the Pac10 TD title...

He needs two more for 17 TDs… which would make him the leader

by danzig on Dec 27, 2008 5:40 PM PST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Doesn't that only count for in-season?

If I’m not mistaken… Same for the rushing title and any other statistic

I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.

by The VD Special on Dec 27, 2008 5:41 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I always thought bowl games counted

by turkey on Dec 27, 2008 5:41 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I don't think so

Because there was talks about if Quizz could re-take the rushing title in the Sun Bowl (before knowing he was out), and it was researched and found that Best had won the rushing title in the Washington game

I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.

by The VD Special on Dec 27, 2008 5:42 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

oh, well then, profit!

by turkey on Dec 27, 2008 5:43 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Actually bowl stats do count towards season stats. Unless that’s changed from 2001-02 season.

It's spelled "S-H-U-C-F-A-D-O-D-N-C-S"

Please, ask me about CFADODNCS.

by JShufelt on Dec 27, 2008 5:54 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

No idea… I dont care… I’m just excited and having fun.

by danzig on Dec 27, 2008 5:43 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah, Best will get his 2 TDs I'm guessing

Blount still has a game left. Something tells me he’s not getting there.

by BearsNecessity on Dec 27, 2008 5:41 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Oh yeah!

I forgot… I guess Jahvid has to get 3 more TDs… just to make sure.

by danzig on Dec 27, 2008 5:43 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

He will be in the pre-season talks

A better bowl game for Cal would have helped

You can't

But there’s a lot of East Coasters not watching this game. Everyone will be watching the Holiday Bowl

Nate is inaccurate when his feet aren’t set. That’s a problem when our OL is using 3rd stringers at guard.
