ok, everyone thank the football gods for that one.
sacrifice a goat or something.
Eh. Seems like the same play that Nate threw against UCLA last year, just opposite side of the field.
It could be a lot of things. However, putting in Riley against the USC defense a week after his concussion might jeopardize his entire football career. That has to be weighing on Tedford’s mind.
wednesday? that's not that late...
steve young, joe montana, aaron rodgers won games post-head banging…longshore sucks!
I’m torn. On the one hand I’m worried about putting in Riley, but on the other hand this is football. If the doctor’s give him the ok, if Riley wants to play, then I think he should be able to. It’s a game meant for warriors.
our best bet is to get another defensive PI to get a fresh set of downs

How important...
How important is a RB that can block? I remember a bunch of talk about Lynch being able to block; are our smaller RBs affecting any of that?
Carroll forgot to include “Alumni Cash Payout” Sunday on that list.

Sanchez's ankle doesn't seem to bother him at all so far
Let’s hope he does a Longshore ’07 and is hobbling in the second half.

I concur; they should have at least reviewed it.

You're just asking for Hydro to ban you

OSU defeats UCLA 34-6
It looked a lot like our game. It was close in the first half, then OSU started capitalizing on UCLA’s turnovers. UCLA had 4 turnovers.

I don’t think Longshore is playing great, but I’m hesitant to risk Riley’s LIFE.

Nate hate is overboard
We have a make-shift OL w/ multiple injuries and average WR’s. Nate is under a ton of pressure almost every play. He’s made some bad throws… but the hating is terrible. Not SO bad here, but unbearable on Bear insider. WTF do people want? A completely untested Mansion to come in against USC???

I think Tedford is too smart and too good of a guy to put in Riley tonight. A Stoops, a Saban, a Mac Brown, those assclowns would put him in and risk his health. So you’re right, tonight Longshore is our guy.
I’m not sure Nate can lead us to victory, but this is his chance to redeem himself and I’ll be rooting for him. If the game becomes out of reach, which I doubt it will for a while, then sure, put in Mansion. Until then we should all be pulling for Longshore tonight.
People expect LOngshore to block the blitzers, pass the ball, and catch it himself – every single play.
I think this year’s offense is the worst of the past few years. To expect this offense to score on USC’s defense is a lot to ask.

Chedle and Edwards are playing horribly so far
whenever Edwards is subbed in, he’s getting shed and allowing penetration. Our decimated OL is making a huge difference over 2006 when we had some time to throw.
Yeah the weak O-line deficiency has finally reared its ugly head.

We’re going to need turnovers and short fields. If USC doesn’t turn it over we’re screwed.
by BearsNecessity on Nov 8, 2008 6:36 PM PST up reply actions
i just saw tim tebow run in from 20
riley can do that, nate cant…i’ll hate nate, esp. after sc last year, and stanford, and ucla….
No Turnovers
And the Bears are still in this thing! And it took a fantastic throw-and-catch to put USC up 7. This is exactly the type of game we need if the Bears are to pull out a win.
BUT, the opening drive of the second half is absolutely critical. For whatever reason, Cal has sucked coming out after the half (e.g., Tucson). Come up with a stop, though, and this one is going to the wire.
C’mon you Bears!! I cracked open a special bottle of Lost Abbey’s “Judgment Day”—one of the best damn beers there is—just for this game. Don’t let me down.
Go Bears!
Do you believe in miracles?
If WASHINGTON is flirting with a win tonight, then anything is possible. They lead ASU 19-16
