Thanks to Goldblooded. This is a video from the local NBC affiliate. They interview Best, Riley, and Stanford Coach Harbaugh. Listen to what somebody screams at Harbaugh during the interview (about 40 seconds in to the video). Go Bears!

agreed
Good volume. Well timed and enunciated. Obnoxious without being classless. But hand it to Harbaugh, too, for keeping his cool.

Disagree
Shouting that really added nothing at all, and kind of portrayed Cal fans as guys who really aren’t used to success. I understand the emotions and all that, but that kind of thing really isn’t called for.
I’d rather Cal fans be the sort to expect to win and behave as if they’ve done it before. Storming the field is fine, but popping off while an opposing coach is being interviewed just isn’t cool. Or maybe that’s just me.

In general, I would agree. But Harbaugh brings on that sort of reaction with his trash talking.
Please disregard the above ramblings as those of a clearly delusional fan.

A few thoughts ...
First off, I’m not quite sure how those three clips of Furds prancing and “wooooooing” is unclassy. Lame, yes. Definitely bad rhythm. And absolutely it shows that Furds are not used to winning. But there wasn’t any out-of-context or random shouting as JT was interviewed.
And as far as Harbaugh being a total trash-talking jackhole, I guess my reaction is, So? Why reduce ourselves to the level of Furds?
Smack talking is fine, in context. Like, say, here on a blog where we can point to the mincing and pansy Furds and laugh to our hearts’ content. But when a guy is being interviewed maybe not be the prefect time for it.
Again, maybe it’s just me.

SoCal, I can definitely see your point of view in this. But I must respectfully disagree. You know me to be generally a classy person. We’ve had two different fans of teams come here to congraulate us on being classy fans (admittedly easier to do when they beat us). I like to think I try to stay as classy as possible, San Diego.
But even I don’t have too much problem with this. I mean it’s the Furd! And Harbaugh, who has talked a lot of trash.

I disagree with both of you. I think he should’ve tackled Harbaugh, earning him an audition at linebacker walk-on next season.

I think the shouter was perfect. Harbuagh was there making excuses for why his crappy team didn’t win and the shouter informed him that his team got spanked, which they did, and that we now have the Axe, which we do. Nothing vulgar about it, nothing false about it, I though it was great.

That is true. There is truth to the statement. That only makes it MORE classy!

Those clips were provided to inspire the unabashed and logically unfounded hatred of the other team and their fan base that is part of football. I just think that a rivalry inspires drunken people to say stuff like that once in a while. Perhaps ‘Yelling Man’s experience with Stanfurd is different than your own. I was merely trying to display a few reasons as to why one might be moved to make such a statement to the head coach.
I agree that the interview may not have been the best time, but it was still pretty funny to see Mr. “Bow to no program” have some of his own medicine.

I loved the yellow jacket goal post patrol
yes…you can ward off goal post destroyers with a yellow jacket, no gun, no shield, and no baton. Yes, you have 10 uniformed police officers.
