is cal in a good position to win this game?

and even if we are, do we want to?

If Oregon St wins out… USC gets left out of the rose bowl… that would be pretty satisfying for me in an otherwise disappointing season

by elbarto83 on Nov 15, 2008 2:08 PM PST reply reply   0 recs

We’re not that type of program. USC kept us out of the Rose Bowl in 78 by throwing a game against UCLA.

But if we lose *shudder*

I’ll be pulling hard for the Beavs

by norcalnick on Nov 15, 2008 2:24 PM PST to parent up reply reply   0 recs

Of course we want Cal to Win

And even if the Bears lose today, Oregon State has a big hurdle at Tucson. So no guarantee that the Trojans get left out of the Rose Bowl.

As much as it pains me to say this, I wouldn’t mind seeing Stanford beat SC today.

Go Bears!

To be honest, I just want the axe back. I’ll be at the Big Game next week, and the axe is all I want.

Never mind that Oregon is no slouch

We played against them, but they’ll give Oregon State a game, so no cakewalk there either.

There is a 700% chance Oregon State lays an egg. I expect Arizona to be favored against the Beavs.

Once again

It comes down to the Bears performing well in the 3rd quarter to win a Pac-10 road game.

Go Bears!

Florida looks like they're going to roll to the title game

Either that or the rest of the SEC outside of ’Bama sucks.

by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:16 PM PST reply reply   0 recs

The best teams in the Pac-10 next year: Oregon, Oregon St., USC, Arizona.
We play 3 out of 4 at home, Oregon on the road. That’s comforting.

If we were on track to go to the Rose Bowl, I’d be afraid of even mentioning it during our last game against Washington.

unfukingbelievable…so obvious that ball both hit both the ground and was not in control as he went out of bounds

I hate reviews

No matter how clear the evidence, they find some way to screw up the call.

Giving [Batum] the freedom to go for steals is going to be like giving a redneck six boxes of ammo and a quarter mile of empty Bud cans. - Dave

a BIT of a block? Brady made that play for Rodgers

love how the commentators give Rodgers ALL the credit. Ridiculous.

Rodgers brothers

Let’s talk more about them. We haven’t talked enough about them.

by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:34 PM PST reply reply   0 recs

Wait, there are two Rogers?! Are they brothers?! Where did they come from? Surely they must be from the greater Oregon area.

it's going to be tough to stop him too

because apparently the beaver receivers are allowed to catch the ball a yard out of bounds

Pac-10 refs are going to be in the tank for Oregon State

Since there’s going to be a good chance the conference gets two BCS bids. USC has a good track for an at-large even if they don’t win the Pac.
