very little offense on either side
But OSU has two huge kick returns and Cal only one

How the heck was he so open?

I'm hoping things will play out like the Oregon game
Ugly start, d picks up the pace and the O finds a rhythm. I’m not too optimistic though
Did you see the block by Rodgers on that last tipped ball?
Would’ve been a sack.
Giving [Batum] the freedom to go for steals is going to be like giving a redneck six boxes of ammo and a quarter mile of empty Bud cans. - Dave
Another great block by Jacquizz.
Might be the best part of his game.

Get used the announcers slobbering over the Rodgers brothers for another 3 quarters.
Although it’s starting to seem justified
Instead of bringing pressure, they bring only 3
just like on 2nd and 30 and 3rd and 15…

That's technically what you're supposed to do
Zone’s just getting beat by Moveao.

OSU has two senior receivers...
I think Cal has a better chance of bringing pressure. Morales is finding holes in the zone.

They’d probably do better with man to man coverage in long yardage situations.

according to whom?
I know that we often dropped 8 last year against OSU and made Canfield look like Peyton Manning
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
Well that was on 2nd/3rd short situations and our pass rush sucked last year. We’ve done pretty well rushing 3 this year.
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 1:34 PM PST up reply actions
No
Two critical plays in last years OSU game. 3rd and 8 & 3rd and 15. Rushed 3 both times and gave up critical first downs both times.
Though I agree that we have been much better rushing 3 this year than last year.

"Long, steady drive..."
I’ve forgotten what that looks like on our side of the ball.
The Bear Will Not Quit
The Bear Will Not Die
because our o-line is horrible right now
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
we have essentially not had a running game for about half the season
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
long steady drives are not part of the Cal offensive package
it’s clearly a strategy on Tedford’s part to confuse our opponents – defenses get befuddled when they get too much rest.

Yes, Cal has a great history of halftime adjustments...

One of the Beavers, Butler, knocked best by accident on the play.
And then he gave best a hug… good to see the sportsmanship by both teams.

TD BEARS!!!
I love it!
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
First you beat us last week, now you pretend to be our friends? This is college football, Paragon. It doesn’t work like that. We hate you. Even TwistNHook.
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
yeah, you guys are assholes
I always hated SC more than UCLA. But now…my whole world is upside down
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
That was ridiculously easy
But I’ll take it. We’re back in the game.
espn 360 is still showing osu's previous drive
…as well as the annoucners totally sucking osu cock
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
need a big stop now
get the ball right back
When i saw that diamond formation, why was my first thought "Voltron!"
trickertation FTW!!
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
Holy shit that was awesome
Sweet formation that I (and apparently the beavers) thought was going to be a screen.

Hooray for Golden Mascots!
go Gophers!

Because Brock Mansion isn’t warming up?
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 1:46 PM PST up reply actions
Well, brock isn’t warming up. Nor is Jordan the QB. I’m okay with either guy at QB. But Riley? No…
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
yes, as soon as we have a consistient running game, OL, DL and special teams .
… and as soon as Riley hits a receiver… THEN you can be optimistic.
wanted him to make the qb PAY...
i’ll take the sack though :-D
We’re looking good today, i like it!
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
Huge drop.

NOOOOOO
dammit
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
Riley hasn't played well since MSU
But he gets NO help from his WRs
The Bear Will Not Quit
The Bear Will Not Die
What is the general opinion on him?
I like his decision making, but I just feel like he’s not accurate enough.
Mack looked good on that play
like he does on most plays, but still

Have to be more comfortable now that the ground is moving.

yeah, Alamar is doing a nice job keeping OSU in this game.
ahhhhh memories of UCLA 2005
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
The OSU broadcast team called it.
IT was weird.. it’s like everyone knew what was coming.

or. st. qb not impressing me at all
for all the great things I heard about him

His arm is hurt...
That’s prolly part of it.

was serna another of riley's lesser recruited players outta hs?
i cant remember if he was touted prior to coming into college or not
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
He was a soccer player.
Walked on to the football team.
Kahut is the one with the incredible leg. With him, it’s mental. He has distance from 55 yards.

Ah, good old quick kick
Never Always fails.
Still happy over the fact that the Nets signed Ryan Anderson. Now if only they can sign Leon Powe after this year...
way to go Bears - inspire me
ugh.

we're en route to another alamar special
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
On the bright side, maybe we get a real special teams coach?
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:08 PM PST up reply actions
i dont think tedford's ever going to fire alamar
he always somehow makes tedford forget how shitty he is by having a handful of good special teams plays littered throughout the season
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
Yeah that kickoff return at the beginning was terrible.
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:13 PM PST up reply actions
best broke it
would have been a td if the kicker hadn’t facemasked him.
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
Best had only a 50 yard run. He didn’t get to 90 yards though, so he’s no game changer, that’s for sure.
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:14 PM PST up reply actions
Well, I feel like we’ve been expecting more from him, and he’s only answered against weaker teams, except against Michigan State.
Then again, it could be the O-line not opening holes for him.
shrug
that first kickoff was pretty great.
would have been a td if not for the facemask. Best is a much better kick return than DeSean, just not the punt returner.
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
ALL WE NEED TO DO...
is punt it out of bounds…
and KOR at an angle… (though with Georgio, that might be difficult without kicking it out of bounds)
= then we win this game.
Well, isolate him to tight end coaching. Punting and kicking always goes down as the games wear on.
by BearsNecessity on Nov 15, 2008 2:10 PM PST up reply actions
our tight end play has also been spectacular
if I had a dime for every time Eric Beegun dropped a pass…
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
hahaha man do i remember those days
everytime beegun came in i fully expected him to fuck up the play
i'm here to clean your pool but i don't have a pool *bowchica bowow*
our special teams was great in 2002.
then our special teams coach left for alabama. Since then…yay
www.californiagoldenblogs.com
announcer uses the phrase "potpourri" in a football broadcast... FAIL
You, sir, automatically LOSE.
I haven't seen that many tear-stained dollar bills since my dad hired a stripper for my uncle's funeral.
Riley is passing 35%
But he’s being rushed CONSTANTLY… so it’s the OL too. Need more draws and misdirection and screens to make them lay off.
