kinda barren over here...
Still happy over the fact that the Nets signed Ryan Anderson. Now if only they can sign Leon Powe after this year...
although to be fair
Most of the regulars are at the game, I’m sure. I’d be at a bar watching the game myself if I didn’t actually come down with a fever yesterday. THE IRONY!

I guess we'll see if everyone's theory about Riley being better in a close fourth quarter than Longshore holds up

indeed
But will The Hombre apologize if he throws a backbreaking interception?
not that we should be rooting for the latter to happen, of course

Look, I don’t want to sound like the Sports Guy, but you’re not allowed to say “lets.” If you say “lets” you’re referring to the Trojans.
Maybe he's referring to the rest of the free world against the Bruins?

Your ISP doesn’t have ESPN360?
Riley handed off to Best, Best lateraled to Riley, Riley threw a deep bomb to Boateng.
My ISP doesn't do anything for me
Except charge me 120 a month for Skinemax and HBO. Speaking of which, I’ve been meaning to cancel.

Using my work computer, it’s got some firewall up that won’t allow streaming audio. I don’t know, I’m not sure why, but all I know is it doesn’t work.

Riley's got a bit of a cannon
he didn’t even set his feet and get his entire body into it before hucking that ball
thats the second time in 10 minutes
i’ve stepped away from the tv for 3 minutes…and missed a TD
please, stop watching Cal games

Tennessee is no great shakes this year
But that just makes them an aberration is the super tough SEC!

What's with the "Don't Stop Believing?"
Are they trying to send a hint to us to not give up on the season so easily?
No more Best.
If Tedford runs Best one more time to the right, exposing his elbow at this point in the game, I’m going to have a heartattack!
that's a bargain!

Maybe we should use Longshore for the first 3 quarters and then Riley for the fourth. Who’s with me?!?
But seriously, great fourth quarter by Riley. I just want him to do it for the whole game.

ha
whatever, did they want us to kneel it out? they’re the ones that gave up a huge run to Vereen
personally, I've got no problem with running up the score
It’s the offense’s job to score, and the defense’s to stop them. Just because you suck at what you do is no reason to make people have pity on you.

UCLA Timeout!?
Now what do the UCLA boards have to say. There guy is playing to the end too. Screw em.
LOL
It’s one thing if you don’t have any problem with it, but “running up the score” doesn’t get any more blatant than that.
Starting QB throwing a pass up 21 with 2 minutes left.

True
Though I don’t recall anyone defending that.

And
I don’t think something that happened between UW and Oregon is particularly relevant to this game.
by SuperBruinMan on Oct 25, 2008 4:20 PM PDT up reply actions
you’re talking about tedford here, the same coach who, back in ’04(?) had rodgers take a knee against southern miss on a nationally televised game, which made the final score look a lot closer than the game really was, and thus also potentially influencing the minds of poll voters to push texas ahead of us.
Different situation
You’re not playing for the BCS this year.

He’s just trying to get backups some reps (OL, WR, RB, Secondary)… Let it go

It was running score. If you don’t care, fine. You just shouldn’t be surprised if people are offended.

2nd-10, UCLA10 2:15 K. Riley passed to C. Morrah to the right for 10 yard touchdown. G. Tavecchio made PAT

Our offense hasn’t been in-sync the entire year. We’re trying to put everything together…
I don’t think Tedford meant it as disrespect

Really? You really want to say, “Yeah, the score differential would’ve been bigger if Cal didn’t take pity on us”? If I were you, I’d want Cal to run up the score. All the more motivation to get better and take it to us next year. I wouldn’t want any of this pity crap that you guys seem to be begging for. Tedford isn’t even the type to run up the score. See the end of the ’06 Holiday Bowl for reference.
Besides, Riley hasn’t played a complete game; he needs to develop a better relationship with his receivers. And, to be honest, Morrah being our leading receiver isn’t saying much.
yeah, honestly
I didn’t like that play action call too much, but the reason we kept running plays was to get our offense more reps. You saw our offense. It is, ahem, not great.

i still can’t see why slocum can’t get more touches between himself, best, and vereen. he’s so much more a between the tackles runner.
We may see Vereen and Slocum 2 years from now if Jahvid gets the NFL itch early. This is less likely than Tha1 and Marshawn early exits, but I can see it happening if he busts out in a big way over the next 1.5 years….
I feel kinda bad because he could be the starting RB at Wash, Wazzu, ASU, UCLA, and possibly more. It’s pretty easy to see why Montgomery transferred.

Here's a secret
I think SC is going to lose…close.
Oregon State showed me that this team can take it easy.
so is that like a triple or double reverse jinx?
My head hurts just thinking about it.

Jeremy Ross
I need a pic of his hurdle for my icon.
I like how he gets pumped after his runs (kickoff and such).

2nd half Cal = vintage Cal
Trick plays
On fire offense
Physical and dominating defense
Full stadium
Loud cheers
Enthusiasm
NO BOOING
Fun
This reminded me of the beginning of last year or 2006. Except for the unbearable heat and ridiculously early start.
Me likey
In other words, Go Bears!
