Semi OT - Cal Women's Basketball recruit
ESPN has a great series called 'E-Ticket' featuring long format journalism with outside-the-lines style topics. The latest is a story on Tierra Rogers, a star recruit out of Sacred Heart Cathedral in San Francisco. Many of your might remember her because unfortunately her family made headlines when her father was murdered during her basketball game. The article is very well written and quite moving, and has something at the end that will make you proud to have Joanne Bolye representing Cal as basketball coach.

Hopefully Tierra has a great deal of success as a Golden Bear - it's impossible to do anything but wish her the best in whatever decision she makes regarding her basketball future after hearing about the pain she's been forced to go through.
The opinions expressed in a FanPost are, in every way, reflective of the opinions of every California Golden Blogs Marshawnthusiast. Moreover, they are reflective of every employee of SBNation, including Tyler "Blez" Bleszinski.

The article is a good read
Tragic story in so many ways. I hope that Tierra rises above it all and achieves great success at Cal, for herself and the program.
Go Bears!
Great stuff. Hope she figures out if basketball is what she wants to do with her life.
